What a fabulous day for a game/games of rounders today,as our Junior Ladies Team heading over to Ballybrown Gaa Club to contest 2 matches today

1st up was against Knockainey, were our women started strong,getting 3 out fairly quick conceding no runs in the 1st Inning,then they stepped up for their batting,and they ran in an impressive 15 runs,leading 15-0,at the start of the 2nd inning,and with some more superb bowling from last years All-Star Louise Kelly ,and back stop Dympna O'Brien, and all our fielders, playing their vital roles,they again held Knockainey scoreless.
St.Senan's up to bat in the 2nd inning and again,there hitting and base running was electric, adding a further 13 runs,and now leading 28-0,
Knockainey then batted on for the next 3 innings to try and catch up,but could only get 1 run.
St.Senan's winning on a scoreline of 28-1,with 3 battings in hand.

2nd Match was against Sporting Limerick, after a nice rest our Ladies were ready to take to the field again,and started the same as the 1st,as they held Sporting to 1 run,and Our Ladies managed to get 6 runs on the board,after the 2nd it was 13-3,after the 3rd it was 20-4,with some great bowling again from Louise,and with some fine catches aswell from Kyra Hogan , Eileen Shine , Tara Hogan and Ruth Sheehy,who not only caught a high ball,but was quick to react and tag her base and get a double out,
Sporting batted on for the next 2 innings to try and catch up,they managed to rack up another 5 runs,but with our Ladies on top form today,it was a tough task
St.Senan's running out 20-9,with 2 battings in hand.

It was a fantastic weekend for our Intermediate Men's & Mixed Team's,who were victorious in both games on Sunday

1st up was our Mixed Team,who took on Erne Eagles,who won the Intermediate Mixed All-Ireland last year,so with the predictions favouring last years winners,we knew it would be tough game,but our all our team stood up today and preformed brilliantly and came out victorious winning on a scoreline of 10-7,which now leaves us sitting in 2nd place after 2 games

2nd Up was our Men's Team,who took on Kilmore,who we deafed in last year's Junior Men's All-Ireland Final,so we knew it would be a close encounter,as we won the toss,we opted to field 1st,and it was a very close/tight game,but again our Men stood tall and came away with a priceless victory,winning on a scoreline of 7-4,with a batting to spare.
With 3 games done now,and with 2 wins and 1 defeat,we now sit happy in 1st place.

Well done to both teams again,great commitment and spirit shown by everyone

Another big day out for Men's and Mixed Team's,this weekend,Sunday 31st,

See's our 2 teams hit the road and make the journey to Athlone for 2 Intermediate games

1st up is Our Mixed Team,who take on Erne Eagles @12

2nd Up is our Men's Team,who take on Kilmore @2

1st Day of Our St.Senan's Junior Ladies Team Match Day,away to Atherny
It was a scorcher of a day,and the heat didn't seem to bother our Ladies,with some fine fielding and batting from all the Women
Captain Kyra Hogan led from the front with 4 fantastic catches along with Vice Captain Grainne,plucking a few from the sky aswell
Our Pitcher Louise Kelly and backstop Dympna ,worked in tandem,with each other,and all our fielders playing their part aswell.

Our Ladies ran out 25-18 winners,with a batting to spare.

But Catch of the day has to go to
Aoife O'Carroll,who not only caught the ball,but fell backwards,aswell,with a few somersaults and a roll,and still held onto the ball
Also contender for catch of the weekend

Our Under 14 Championship Finals has had a change of venue. This years Under 14 Champions will be decided after a day of action at Athlone GAA club, Athlone. This Saturday, First pitch 12:30pm
