🥉 in the Donegal Harvest Class 2A

Good peddling from David on challenging but rewarding stages to gather one last haul of championship points.

This has secured David 2nd in the MIJRS Mixed Surface 2A championship.
The support and funding will be a great boost to next year’s campaign.

Congrats to James & Liam on the Championship Win!

Not the weekend we planned, cracking the sump on SS2.

Fair play to the team who recovered us and repaired the car in savage time to get us out for Rally2.
A handful of points gathered and we move onwards & hopefully upwards 👌

Preparations are underway for this weekends IDS Laois Forestry Rally.
I’m back in the navi Seat with David Travers Motorsport for round 7 of the MIJRS championship.

David & team have the car in top shape & the stages are looking good (fast!).

After an early mechanical retirement on our last gravel rally in Cork, we hope to return to the pace we have shown earlier in the season.

Strong championship points are the target, bring it on 👊🏻

Galway Summer Rally 🏁

A long day with very little rallying (4 stages) due to a late start & unfortunate incidents, however good to get to the finish.

Thanks to Conor O’Connell for a mint job on the notes & Anthony & Brianie in service, solving a few gremlins we had.

Great to be back behind the wheel again, despite not being at any great pace, rebuilding the confidence.

Hopefully more seat time to come!
Back to the navi seat in the near term.

All was in order & and the Honda was ready to rock for the Tipperary Stonethrowers this weekend.
Unfortunately the high temperatures forced the club to postpone it, hard luck to them after all of their effort in the build up.

Onto the Galway Summer rally on the 23rd August!

Carlow Stages Rally 🥉

A calculated drive in Dry, wet and then greasy drying conditions by David Travers Motorsport yielded a 4th podium of the year in the MIJRS 2A championship.

A consistent pace with no errors & faultless car prep have been key to our recent results. We look forward to the second half of the season with plenty to build on.

Thanks to the Travers family & Mark for prep and servicing, David for the steering, and the organisers for a smooth & enjoyable rally.

Glad to get to the finish in Mayo!

While we only rallied 4 of the stages due to blockages and the cancellation of the last loop, it was still a huge challenge.

There was plenty of mud & standing water which could’ve caught out even the most cautious.
We took it very handy with no risks to finish 71st O/A and 8th in the class.

Thanks to Sean on the notes & Anthony, Brianie & Mike in service, who were absolutely soaked through from 9am!
Fair play to the marshals for standing out in it!

Ready to Rock for the Mayo Stages Rally!

A good start to the year with 2 starts and 2 strong Finishes:

Shane McCarthy & I had a very clean run on the Galway International Rally in his 11f Civic. Saturday’s fast stages & Sunday’s typical Galway greasy roads were no bother to Shane on his first visit, and we were glad to come home with 5th in class.

Back in the woods with David Travers, he adapted well to his new Fiesta R2t at the Yeats Ridge Forest Rally.
Despite clutch issues, we secured 3rd in class and some decent MIJRS points for David’s campaign.

Thanks to Healy Rally Prep & the Travers family for servicing, and all organisers and marshals.

And now… Back to the Driver seat at long last for the Mayo Stages Rally!

2025 Recap 💥

Tough year on the driving side, moving up to 11f in the junior spec Civic.

A Good run in the Midlands Stages with Shane Maguire on board, holding 5th in class, ended on SS7 with Distributor failure.

Onto the Circuit of Kerry with Liam Callaghan on the notes. Unfortunately an accident on SS1 ended my season. Thanks to all who helped on scene.

Back in the Navi seat, I had a few good runs with John Ward Rallying in the Rally4 Fiesta, with Neil Tohill in the Evo X, and with David Travers in the J1000’s to end the season strongly!

Thanks to all for 2025.

Onwards to more, better and faster in ‘26!
