On Saturday we all gathered in the Riverside Park Hotel for one to recognise our players and coaches etc. for the outgoing season and secondly to honour Theresa O'Connor as our new Honorary Club President for her and her family's commitment to the club in the past. Taking over the position from the late Seamus O' Leary who we now name our annual Young Player of the Year trophy in his Memory. Thirdly, the occasion was to mark the 40th anniversary of the men who brought home the Wexford Cup with a derby win over local rivals Moyne in the final of '86. We were delighted that the majority of the panel were able to join us on the night. It was great that one of the stalwarts of that team Timmy Morrissey took to the mic and shared his memories of that season and the final with us and gave great words of encouragement for all our younger players to turn their underage success into Adult success.
