Season 2025/26 at EHC 💜
Some seasons stand out more than others - this was one of them.
A season that showed real progress across the club.😇
Our Ladies 1s didn’t just compete - they drove standards and earned a well-deserved league promotion.
Our Ladies 2s matched it stride for stride - promotion secured and a place in a Cup Final, a huge moment for a team that has grown together in every sense this year.
With over 30 ladies involved across both squads, it’s been one of the strongest seasons yet and we’re only getting started. If you’ve ever thought about picking up a stick, next season is the time. We’d love to have you!
The men’s side had their ups and downs, finishing with a tight 2–1 loss to Weston yesterday, but there’s momentum there too. We’ve had some new faces join, and that’s hopefully going to build heading into next year. If you know any men looking to get involved, send them our way!
Underage continues to thrive.🥳
Our minor girls are heading into a playoff for their division - a great reward for the work they’ve put in all year.
Our U12 boys have a league final coming up on Sunday 26th in Glenanne - a huge occasion for them and the club.
We’ve also welcomed lots of newbies to the junior section this season. Hopefully it’s just the start of many years in the club. A big thank you to all the parents for the lifts, support, and time - it doesn’t go unnoticed.
And of course, all of this doesn’t happen without what goes on off the pitch.
From lots of kids representing the club at the St. Patrick’s Day parade, to members fundraising for the Craft Fair in November and raising important funds for the functioning of the club, to a packed social night to close out the season, a big thanks to
Enniscorthy Rugby Club for hosting and to everyone who contributed, organised, and supported, it says a lot about what this club has become.
To the coaches, committee members, volunteers, and players - this season is a reflection of the work you’ve all put in. Whether it was sessions in the dark on a Friday night, matches in the rain, or everything in between - it all adds up.
It’s also been brilliant to see EHC players representing the club at interprovincial level and through their schools & best of luck to Leah Chapman, playing with the Irish Masters in her upcoming competitions with Ireland🇮🇪
A thank you to our sponsors this season, Killowen Farm, Enniscorthy Farm Systems, NRGia, Hill Agri and Pure Oil 🌟
Finally a massive thank you again to Zilpha, Lisa and all of the committee members who do so much work behind the scenes, the pitch booking, the financials, dealing with the boring admin, meetings, training schedules, player development, liasing with Leinster hockey, safeguarding, fundraising, fixtures, the list goes on, a massive thank you from every member for your time and dedication.
On a personal note, it’s been really special to capture and document this season. The big moments like cup finals to the smaller ones that often go unnoticed, it’s been a privilege to see how far the club has come. What’s made it even more rewarding is being able to highlight the girls each week and recognise the role they’ve all played in the success of the ladies section of the club - Susannah🤍
If anyone is thinking about getting involved next season - whether that’s helping out or joining the committee, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Every bit of help makes a difference, and there’s a place for everyone at EHC. Most roles aren’t as big or daunting as they might sound - a lot of it is simply helping out where you can, even in small ways.
A season to be proud of - and plenty more to come.🤩
