HUGE CONGRATULATIONS 🌟

A massive well done to Mila and Sarah on their fantastic achievement of selection to represent Wexford at the Gaynor Cup! ⚽💜💛

The girls head to Limerick on Monday to compete against some of the best young talent in the country.

Everyone at the club is incredibly proud to see two of our own wearing the Wexford colours on such a big stage. We have no doubt you’ll do yourselves, your families, and the club proud.

Enjoy every minute of the experience, give it your all, and make some amazing memories along the way.

Results Thursday 14th May

Wexford Football League Division 3A

Forth Celtic 1 v 2 Moyne Rangers

The B team made the trip to Murrintown having come up just short against the same opposition in the Billy Browne Cup final.

The lads knew nothing other than a win and 3pts against the recently crowned Division champions would suffice to secure promotion.

After an even start to the game the home side started to get on top and took the lead after a dangerous corner from the right was headed goalbound and Andrew Browne made a great reaction save but Rory Cullen was alert to fire home the rebound to the roof of the net on 25 minutes.

We started to wake up now and came more into the game and a nice move from midfield found Jordan Petticrew who did well to roll his man and play a lovely through ball to find Pa O'Rourke who toe poked smartly passed the advancing keeper to equalise with his 19th goal of the season on 35 mins.

Into the 2nd half and we were playing much better but we could not get the breakthrough with Jamie Wilson going close after a lovely weaving run and Pa O'Rourke having a goal on 60 mins disallowed for a tight offside.

Jack Fanning and Adam Casey were introduced and both got us attacking sharper and making better use of the ball.

On 70 minutes we had a huge opportunity as a long ball found it's way through to Pa O'Rourke and he tried to set up Anthony Dobbs for a certain goal but the Forth keeper reacted quickly.

Alan Crean, Tommy O'Brien and Peter Marsden were all introduced for the final 15 minutes.

Andrew Browne kept our hopes alive with a massive save from PJ Banville on 82 minutes. With time running out good play found Adam Casey and he slipped Pa O'Rourke in just inside the box on the right hand side. His well struck effort was smartly saved but Adam Casey continued his run to follow up and dispatched the bouncing rebound to the roof of the net from 8 yards in the 89th minute for the crucial promotion sealing goal.

The lads defended smartly and doggedly for the remaining 5 minutes as Forth threw everything in search of a late equaliser.

A fantastic win to seal a deserved 2nd place finish and promotion from a very difficult and competitive Division 3A.

Well done to everyone involved and enjoy the break and we will give Division 3 a good rattle next season.
