Dungarvan Rugby Club

Dungarvan Rugby Club Dungarvan Rugby Club is the only rugby club in West Waterford. Our senior team play in the Munster Junior 2 League. We always welcome new members and players.

We have a thriving minis section for 6-12 years old and teams for older age groups up to 18+. Dungarvan's first team play in Division 2 of the Munster Junior League. We have a very active youth academy with teams competing at Minis (6-12), U13, U14, U16 and U18. Many players from Dungarvan have represented Munster and Ireland at age grade level

Dungarvan under 16s played Waterpark today.
The city team were quick out of the blocks and put dungarvan under pressure early on. Dungarvan responded well but we're unable to score after camping in waterpark 22. Waterpark used their pace well at every oppourtunity. But dungarvan kept fighting. Lineout and scrum were solid but waterpark were too strong in broken play.
Next up is Carrick away Sunday 20th.

Meet the Heroes Day

Dungarvan Rugby Club was delighted to host Meet the Heroes Day in collaboration with Autism Friendly Dungarvan. The day was a fantastic success, providing a relaxed and welcoming environment where children with autism and additional needs could meet emergency services, healthcare professionals, sporting heroes and community heroes at their own pace. The purpose was simple: to make the unfamiliar more familiar, taking away some of the unknown and helping future encounters feel less daunting for children and their families.

We were delighted to welcome the Mayor of Waterford, Councillor Liam Brazil, along with local councillors who came to show their support. A sincere thank you also to our Chairperson, David Cashman, who represented the club on WLR, and to all our volunteers who helped make the day such a success. It was a wonderful example of community collaboration, and Dungarvan Rugby Club was proud to open its gates and play its part in such a positive initiative.
