What a week of racing for our Rathfarnham athletes, with race wins, podium finishes and category honours across the country! 💚👏
🌲 Tuesday 19th – Derrycassin Woods Trail Series, Longford
In his usual stealth mode 🤫, Kevin Donagher quietly made the trip to Longford and came away with the victory in the 5k Trail Series race at Derrycassin Woods! 🥇🏆 Fantastic running from Kevin. 💚
🏃 Wednesday 20th – Celbridge AC 5km Road Race
Our friends in Celbridge AC once again put on a brilliant event 👏💚
🔹 Aidan O'Connor delivered a superb performance to secure a Top 10 finish 🔟💨
🔹 Tom Cuddy also raced strongly, finishing 2nd in the M60 category 🥈👏💚
⚡ Thursday 21st – A Double Race Night!
🏆 Tara AC 5k
Eoin Flynn continued his incredible form by claiming his second race win in a week! 🥇🔥 A phenomenal achievement. 💚
🏃‍♂️ Keypoint 5k
More Rathfarnham success followed at the Keypoint 5k:
🥇 Sean McCreery claimed the M60 title and finished an outstanding 4th overall 👏💨 Sean seems to be getting quicker with every outing! 🚀💚
🥈 John McHugh had a superb race to finish 2nd in the M65 category 👏💚
🥇 Donal Murphy added another category victory, winning the M70 category 🏅💚
🥈 Vanessa Sallier produced a fantastic performance to finish 2nd overall in the women's race
🥈 Daniel Keogh second M55👏🌟💚

🏃‍♂️💚 Rathfarnham WSAF AC Weekend Round-Up 💚🏃‍♀️
While the spotlight may have been on the European Championships, our own champions were busy making waves on roads, trails and mountains across the country this weekend! 👏🔥
🥇 Liberties 4 Mile A fantastic performance from Eoin Flynn, who took the win in style! 🏆 ✅ 1st Overall – Eoin Flynn ✅ 5th Overall – Kevin Donagher
⛰️ Run the Ridge Championships, Glendalough (15 August) Several club members tackled the challenging Wicklow trails with impressive results:
🏃‍♂️ 20K ✅ Mick Stuart – 15th Male, 1:59
🏃‍♀️ 20K ✅ Clare Shiels – 6th Female, 2:07
🏃‍♀️ 30K ✅ Esther Lawlor – 7th Female, 3:08
🌄 Brilliant running on some of Ireland's toughest and most scenic terrain!

Well done to all our athletes who competed at today’s National Masters T and F Championships at Morton Stadium. Some notable medal winners in the 5000m were Eóin Flynn Gold M45, Paul Fleming Gold M50, Dermot Shiels Bronze M50, Tom Cuddy Gold M65 and Donal Murphy Silver M70. A full report and times to follow.

Well done to all our athletes who competed at the Dublin Graded Meeting at Morton Stadium on 29th July 2026. In the 1,500m Edel McCreery ran 4.47, Laura Ryan ran 5.08, Aisling O'Connor 5.28 and Sophie McGrath ran 5.40. In the 100m Ellie Oldrey ran 12.75 in her Grade A heat and followed that up with 12.94 in the 100m Final. In the 1500m Patrick McGabhann ran 4.04. Pall Fleming ran 4.27 and Sean Mc Creery ran 4.57. Ireland's young athletes delivered a superb performance, finishing 2nd overall in the Track & Field Championships! 🥈🇮🇪
A special congratulations to our own Ellie Oldrey, who:
🔥 Finished 5th in the 300m Hurdles in 44.53
🥉 Helped Ireland's 300m Relay Team secure Bronze

Well done to Rathfarnham WSAF AC athletes who competed in last nights Dublin Graded Meeting No. 7 on the Lucan track. In the 3,000m Laura Ryan ran 11.03, Alice Hickey ran 11.07 and Aisling O'Connor ran 11.34. Jonathan Grey ran 11.36 in his 3000m.
