Join us on Saturday, 25th July for our 2nd annual Freestyle (Chess960) Rapid Tournament at Coláiste Éanna, Rathfarnham.

🔹 7 Round Swiss
⏱️ 15+5 Time Control
🕚 Round 1 starts at 11:00
💶 €20 Entry fee
🏆 €10 added to the prize fund per player

Our next Quad Tournament takes place on July 19th at Knights of Éanna.

FIDE rated, one-day, classical chess
Time control: 60+30
Rounds: 3

Format
Players are divided into groups of 4 based on rating and playing strength.
Each player plays one game against the other three players in their group.
If the lowest group has fewer than 4 players, it will be run as a mini Swiss.

Prizes
€50 winner-takes-all per quad

Schedule
Check-in required by 10:15
Groups posted at 10:20
Round 1: 10:30
Round 2: immediately after Round 1
Round 3: 18:00

Capacity: 112 players
Individual event: no teams, no need to sign up with others.

A great format for players of all levels — competitive games against opponents of similar strength, all wrapped up in a single day.
