CYM Bowling Club, part of Terenure Sports Club, recently invited our Lord Mayor of Dublin, Emma Blain, to take part in the ceremonial unfurling of the flag of the Irish Bowling Association. CYM member Ollie O'Brien holds the position of Honorary President of the IBA 2025 and he had invited various bowling dignitaries from north and south to take part in the ceremony and a fun game of bowls. Also there were the President of TSC, Myles O'Brien and President of CYM Bowling Club, Gene Morrin.

A large scale project had just recently been completed in the club to refurbish the surface of the green and the surrounding pathways and with the day turning out to be beautiful it showed off the CYM green to great effect.

The Lord Mayor showed a natural prowess for the game when she rolled the first bowl of the season and may be back to try it again!

A great performance from our A-team in the Irish Senior Cup in Stormont today. A very strong NICS team took what looked like a commanding lead in the first half, but our lads dug deep to get over the line.

Thank you to everyone in NICS for their tremendous hospitality before and after a match that saw some excellent bowling on a green that very much allowed it.

We'll look forward to welcoming Ards in the last 16, and will do our best to keep the Irish Lawn Bowls flag flying in the Blue Riband national competition.
