Simple practices that can help regulate your nervous system and bring you back into your body.

1. Hum – Gentle humming may stimulate the vagus nerve and encourage a calmer state.

2. Walk barefoot in nature – Connecting with nature can help reduce stress and improve wellbeing.

3. Light a candle or incense – Familiar scents can influence mood and help create a sense of calm.

4. Place a hand on your heart – Gentle self-touch can promote feelings of safety and self-compassion.

5. Shake your body – Releasing tension through movement can help you let go of built-up stress.

6. Sing – Singing encourages slow breathing and may activate your body’s relaxation response.

7. Spend time under the moon or evening sky – Slowing down outdoors at night can help you reconnect with nature and support healthy evening routines.

8. Talk kindly to yourself – Speaking to yourself with compassion can help interrupt anxious thought patterns and improve emotional regulation.
