📢 Reminder: Nomination Needed for Coastal Scull Committee Chair

Attention all Coastal Clubs,

As previously announced, there will now be two separate Coastal Committees moving forward:
🔹 Coastal Scull Committee
🔹 Coastal Sweep Committee

A number of weeks ago, clubs were invited to submit nominations for the Chair positions of both committees. While a nomination was received for the Sweep Committee Chair, no nominations have been received for the Scull Committee Chair.

We are therefore issuing this reminder and asking clubs to put forward a nomination for the Coastal Scull Committee Chair. Filling this role is essential for the committee to function effectively.

📧 Please send nominations to Tadhg at [email protected]
🗓️ Deadline: 5:00pm on Wednesday, 17th June

Please note that no further nominations will be accepted after this deadline.

Irish rowers continue to make their mark on the international stage!

Congratulations to Cork's Holly Davis, who helped the University of Texas Longhorns capture the 2026 NCAA Division I Women's Rowing National Championship at Lake Lanier, Georgia.

Irish athletes were represented across several of the NCAA's leading rowing programmes, including:

🔸 Holly Davis – University of Texas
🔸 Patti Mullin – Yale University
🔸 Anna Keating – Yale University
🔸 Ayla O'Neill – University of Virginia

Competing within some of the world's top university rowing programmes provides invaluable high-performance experience and highlights the growing influence of Irish athletes within the NCAA system.

Rowing Ireland is proud to support

Sport should be a place where everyone feels seen, respected and welcome. This Pride Month, we stand with LGBTQ+ athletes, coaches, volunteers, officials and allies across Irish rowing and across Irish sport.

Visibility matters. Belonging matters. Safe and welcoming clubs matter. Together, we can help make rowing a sport where every person can take part, contribute and thrive.

This month, we encourage every Rowing Ireland club to ask one simple question: what would make our boathouse feel more welcoming to someone arriving for the first time?
