Our lads came out 4-2 victors on Saturday after beating St Brendan’s for the second time in 3 weeks.

Leigh Killeen scored after just 3 minutes with what can only be described as an absolute thunderbolt of a strike from 25 yards, straight into top bins.

Alex Watson then used those twinkle toes to good effect when he danced passed two defenders and let rip from just outside the box to make it 2-0 on the half hour mark.

We started the 2nd half well and on the hour mark we deservedly went 3 up when keeper Gary Reynolds got himself an assist by playing a ball through for Big Back Connolly, which he converted calmly and composed.

Brendan’s didn’t go down without a fight though and managed to pull themselves back into the game with two goals in the 69th and 82nd minute, but our lads dug deep, battled strong and put the game to bed in the 92nd minute when PC played a through ball for Sean McNamara who beat the defender in a foot race and smashed the ball home, to make it 4-2.

Revenge was sought after👀

Our lads ran out comfortable and deserved 3-0 winners against St Brendan’s on the weekend.

Matty “Jesus lookalike” Wallace opened the scoring for us after just 8 minutes, when he turned fox in the box after the keeper fumbled a PC free kick, and he pounced to put the ball in the back of the net.

Our second goal came courtesy of Alex Watson 15 minutes later after a beautiful one two with PC and he expertly tucked it away, with a celebration the tik tok generation would be proud of.

We got our 3rd of the afternoon when the lads switched roles and Alex turned provider for PC in the 84th minute, with Alex doing the hard work and finding PC in the box who calmly slotted it away, who was evidently over the moon with finally scoring from open play, and a reason to smile on his 5 hour journey home 👀

All in all, a great team performance from the lads, and a well earned 3 points on the road
