⚽️ A PERFECT START FOR THE 2NDS!
The first league game of the season for Stedfast United 2nds in UCFL Division 3C ended in a fantastic 7–0 victory over Lourdes Pearse FC! 💪
From the opening whistle, Stedfast took control, dominating midfield and putting Lourdes under constant pressure.
⚽️ 20’ — 1–0
Leon Ryan beat his man and delivered a brilliant ball into the box, where Sean Saunders calmly finished.
⚽️ 26’ — 2–0
High pressing from Jordan Coechlin, James Richardson and John Jacob won the ball high up the pitch before a perfectly timed pass put Conor Hogan through 1v1. Calm finish into the bottom corner.
⚽️ 45’ — 3–0
A brilliant attacking move down the right involving Aaron Senior and Leon created the opening. Jordan showed great strength to win the ball, turn and fire home to give Stedfast a commanding half-time lead.
The second half brought four more goals! 🔥
⚽️ 48’ — 4–0
James Richardson delivered a perfectly measured ball into the danger area and Sean Saunders headed home for his second.
⚽️ 5–0
After working tirelessly all game, Andrew Moore finally got his reward with a close-range finish.
🧤 Lourdes threatened on a couple of occasions, but David Kerr was equal to everything, producing two brilliant saves to preserve the clean sheet.
⚽️ 81’ — 6–0
Another dangerous attack down the right involving Leon and James saw the ball fall to Eoin De Buitleir inside the box. After the chance fell kindly to Owen Maughan at the far post, he made no mistake.
⚽️ 7–0
A late throw-in caused chaos in the Lourdes box, with the ball eventually finding the net via an opposition touch for an own goal.
7–0 FULL TIME! 💙
A brilliant start to the league campaign with five different goal scorers, plenty of assists, a clean sheet and an outstanding work rate from the entire squad.
