Studio 55 offers classes for children age 3+, teens and adults in Ballet, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary and Swing. We give people the option of paying for classes per term or per week and we offer a 50% sibling discount. Studio 55 students participate in two productions a year - a variety show at Christmas and a full scale musical in the summer. Studio 55 has been nomi

nated for and won many awards over the last few years:

Studio 55 was nominated for an Arklow Chamber of Commerce award for “Best New Business” in 2012. In 2013 Studio 55 won the Chamber of Commerce award for “Best Small Business” in the town. In September 2015 Martina was chosen as a finalist in the search for “Irelands Best Young Entrepreneur". Martina was nominated for an Aims Award (association of Irish musical societies) in 2010 for BEST CHOREOGRAPHER for her choreography for the Avonmore musical society’s production of “Seussical” and she was nominated again in 2011 for her choreography for “The Wedding Singer". Her choreography for the societies productions of "The Wizard of oz" in 2012 and "Evita" in 2015 contributed to them securing two Best overall show nominations. Studio 55 won the award for "Most entertaining group" in the Arklow St Patrick's day parade in 2016 and again in 2017. Studio 55 is proud to offer professional training in a stimulating, friendly and fun atmosphere. At Studio 55 we believe that all students should receive the very best training from qualified instructors. We emphasise fun through dance and the arts while building each students self esteem and confidence and encouraging them to make new friends.

🎭 Musical Theatre Dance Workshop Series (Ages 13–18)

Experience the magic of Broadway and the West End with choreography inspired by Moulin Rouge, Hamilton, Chicago, and & Juliet. Perfect for teens who love musical theatre, dance, acting, and performance.

Four days of Musical Theatre, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Lyrical, Drama Workshops, songs, routines, games, and endless fun! A fantastic opportunity to explore different dance styles, make new friends, and build confidence.

🌟 MOVIE MAGIC SUMMER DANCE CAMP 🌟

Get ready for a magical adventure filled with dance, creativity, friendship, and fun as we step into the worlds of your favourite movies!

Throughout the week, dancers will explore a variety of dance styles including jazz, musical theatre, lyrical, commercial, and performance-based choreography. Campers will develop technique, coordination, musicality, confidence, and stage presence while learning exciting routines inspired by beloved movie characters and stories.

Still trying to take it all in✨
What a season this has been 🤩

Finding out that my choreography and staging for “Raise a Glass” has been AIMS nominated for Best Moment in Theatre was such a special moment 🎭🥂. Myself and Amy Penston were so proud of this piece and what we all managed to create ❤️.

And to make it even more special, Avonmore Musical Society’s production of The Clockmaker’s Daughter has also been nominated for Best Overall Show in the country 🌟

To top it all off, being honoured with Dance Educator of the Year at the Dance Awards Ireland has made this one of the most memorable years yet 💫

And now… we finish the year on a high next weekend with our full-scale studio production of Circus of Dreams 🎪✨

✨ Rehearsals are officially in full swing for our spectacular end-of-year production… The Circus of Dreams! 🎪

At any given moment, our studio is buzzing with energy — from our tiniest stars aged 4 taking their first steps into the spotlight, right through to our incredible senior performers aged 18 bringing the magic to life.

Behind the scenes, it’s just as exciting… while routines are being perfected and songs are soaring, we’re also busy sourcing dazzling costumes, creating projections, collecting props, and organising every last detail (yes — tickets too! 🎟️).

✨ This year’s show tells the inspiring story of Phineas Barnum — the visionary who dared to dream beyond the ordinary and created a world of wonder, spectacle, and possibility. From humble beginnings to the bright lights of the big top, it’s a journey filled with ambition, imagination, and the belief that everyone deserves a place to shine. ✨

Written, directed and choreographed by Martina Lynch, this production promises to be bigger, bolder, and more magical than ever before. Martina is delighted as always to have Natasha Byrne assisting with the production.

It’s a whirlwind of creativity, teamwork, and pure excitement — and we cannot wait to share it all with you.

✨ The magic is building… the wonder is coming… and this is one show you won’t want to miss. ✨
