How do you think that Federer, Nadal, Djokovic generation — not talking about these three individually but collectively — how did that generation become so dominant? Because they were the latest generation to evolve in peace, far from the camera with more knowledge of everything . When these guys, now close to 40 years old, were young, mobile phones weren’t shooting every single damn minute. The entourage made choices, and the choices were made based on those kids’ necessities — not to please a federation, clubs or “so called academies “not to please people debating over where they should play with their ball or not. At the end of the day, everyone is different and requires different needs.
Mini tennis and small rackets have helped the game grow tremendously. But when your son, daughter, or player is ready, you should give them what they need and not hide behind a system, a structure, or even, as they call it, a color methodology. Yes, playing rallies and points with adequate color balls is certainly relevant, and we believe in that. But how about a training session that could help press the button fast and obtain greater results — faster? Because a color ball is light enough that you don’t need to have the fundamentals perfectly in place. It would still work… somehow, if the shot is weak. But when it’s real balls — yellow — then it’s another story.
And this is one of the reasons we are big believers in not making parents feel that they are wasting their time and money. At our academy, everything is crafted. Everything is thought differently. Everything is high performance.
