TEAMING UP 🤝

This morning our Commercial Development Officer, Connor Mason, headed down to the Soccer Hub to meet Jackson Slack, Head of Community at Reds in the Community.

It was a pleasure for the two to get to know each other and share their vision and ambition for the community moving forward.

You'll be seeing a lot more of Connor and Jackson working together to grow the visibility of the Reds in and around Workington. Keep an eye out for what's coming your way 🔜

Special guests at the Soccer Hub 🤩

At our Girls only football camp in the soccer hub today we were joined by two inspirations! We had the joy of welcoming Workington AFC First Team Goalkeeper, Alex Mitchell and Workington Town Women player Niamh Edmondson. Both had a chat about their careers and future hopes as well as a Q&A which the young ballers made the most of! One stand out question was to Niamh who came right through the Reds academy and now smashing it in open age football!

Alex kindly brought some match worn gloves of his to give away to our lucky winners! It really was a lovely afternoon. A massive thank you to Alex and Niamh, and to our fantastic coaches. It’s great to see young footballers being inspired to play the beautiful game.

Today’s camp was funded via Barclays Community Trust Fund! Providing vital opportunities for children in sport!
