Running for a cause close to home 💗

For Jo Martin, the Worcester City 10K is about much more than running. This year, she’s taking on the race for the second time to raise funds for Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven — a charity that became a lifeline for her following her breast cancer diagnosis in 2024.

With the charity’s support, and through the Pitchcroft Worcester 5K Your Way group, Jo rediscovered her love of running after a 35-year break.

Now, just 18 months later, she’s a regular runner with her sights set on her first marathon this October 🏃‍♀️

And with Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, keep an eye out for a sea of pink vests around the Worcester City 10K route 💗

Running for a cause close to home 💗

A family challenge with a very special meaning 💜

Alice Johnston and her three sons, Angus, Archie and Ollie, are taking on the Sutcliffe & Co Worcester City Half Marathon with an incredible goal — to break the Guinness World Record for the fastest half marathon run by a mother and three children.

Their attempt is being made in memory of Alice’s husband and the boys’ dad, Rob, who was a passionate runner.

Alongside their training, the family are also raising money for Medical Aid for Palestinians, already smashing their original fundraising target.

Your Worcester City Run Race Guide 🏃

Everything you need to know for event day…

We’re now just a few days away from the 2026 Sutcliffe & Co Worcester City Runs! We hope your training has gone well, and you’re now into your taper and carb-load for Sunday.

Our digital race guide has just landed, and contains all the important information you’ll need for race day. Make sure to read through it all carefully to make your race day as easy and straightforward as possible. 

If your race number has NOT arrived in the post you will need to collect a number from our Race Information desk over the weekend.

The locations and opening times are:

🟢 Friday, 3pm - 6pm, Worcester Whitehouse Hotel, Foregate Street [WR1 1EA]

🟣 Saturday, 2pm - 6pm, Arch 27, Croft Road [WR1 3BD]

⚪ Sunday, 7:30am - start of race assembly, Race Information gazebo, Cattle Market Car Park [WR1 3NZ]

If possible, please try to collect your number on Friday or Saturday, as Sunday will be extremely busy. 

We’ll see you soon!

Missed out on Worcester City Run Junior entries?

If you missed out on Worcester City Run Junior entries, then you’re in luck! Entries are still open for Paula’s Families on Track at Worcester Racecourse on Saturday 12th September.

Call it a warm-up to the 10K or Half Marathon on Sunday, or introducing your future Worcester City runners to their first running event. This fun family is for everyone, and all ages and abilities can take part. 

Paula’s Families on Track is a continuous relay, in which family teams run laps of either 250m, 500m or 750m to add up to 10K together. You can choose your lap distance, and the whole route is contained within the racecourse, so it’s perfectly safe to let your kids speed off on their own! 

Entries are open now, come and see what it’s all about!

We’re kicking off the Sutcliffe & Co Worcester City Runs next weekend with Paula’s Families on Track at Worcester Racecourse!
