Weekend didn’t go the way we wanted, a problem with the kart meant a DNS in the final which cost me valuable points.

My first time at a club round Trent Valley Kart Club (TVKC) as we start our Autumn / Winter programme prior to a big 2027 of racing

A bit disappointed in the final result but overall was happy with the progress that was made over the course of the weekend.

Final round The Kart Championship at Whilton Mill

Started the weekend in P10 overall after recovering from a disastrous first two rounds and was hopeful of gaining some more places in the final standings.

Proved to be a high scoring weekend, my best of the season in this championship.

Superheat 1 - P7
Superheat 2 - P1 🥇
Final - P3 ⬇️ P15 ⬆️ P5

Delighted to pick up my first heat win in this championship in Superheat 2, when we finished the race in the wet on slicks winning by over 4 seconds.

Final didn’t start so well dropping to P15 after 2 laps but a great recovery drive back up to P5

Moved up from 10th to finish 7th overall.

Mixed conditions over the weekend with it being wet on Saturday other than the final and then dry on Sunday.

Final - P4

Disappointed not to win on Sunday, drove away in heat 2 and won by over 2 seconds. A poor start on the final ultimately cost me the victory.

Delighted to finish the series as Vice-Champion in my first year in senior racing at 15 years old, having come up to the class a year early.

One more round of The Kart Championship to go and then plans will be made for the 2027 national champs. We continue with Kimbolton club championship for the rest of 2026 and get our Autumn / Winter testing and racing programme underway.
