Fantastic Osberton, our first International of the year.

Superstar LOCKSMITH won the ROR 100 championships for long term owner Jill Sackett. Jill has always had thoroughbreds with me so it seemed truly fitting a racehorse she liked off the track 3 years ago went and got his first win yesterday. Huge thank you to Bede for putting on this great class.

Mark Johnson and Yvonne Mott’s MY FOREVER BLUE had a solid top 20 in the 3*S, unfortunately I took a dunking in the water off later in the day, so saved the Intermediate horses for another day. Both the horse and I were none the worse, almost refreshing in the heat! 🤣💦

Enjoying a great start to the season, as have my team who have all had positive runs. Thanks to everyone who keeps the wheels turning. Onwards and upwards!

We’re back!! 💥

7 months on from the accident it was great to leave the start box again with 4 lovely horses at Breckenbrough last weekend.

As cliche as it sounds this has been a monumental team effort to get to this point and something that seemed so uncertain in the early days after the accident. My inner circle saw quite how bad it was but for me I was always focused on getting back to it.

I simply couldn’t have got this far without the support of . I’ve spent a lot of time at Jack Berry House over the last few months which has been hugely beneficial.

To my team, my owners and sponsors, thank you for believing and giving me the time.

Even managed some good results too!!

⭐️ Rehab update ⭐️

Grateful for masses of support from allowing me to spend two days a week at Jack Berry House run by Injured Jockey’s fund. Sessions have included, gym, physio and the water treadmill. The staff have expert knowledge and seeing the improvements each week has been really motivating.

I also sat on a horse for the first time this week (thankfully one controlled by buttons!) so no sudden movements!! Great to work with Jo Titteron from , and felt huge improvements as the session progressed. Photo shows the difference in posture at the start and end of session. Highly recommend anyone working with Jo, injury or not!! She covers lots of areas of symmetry, alongside gym work and reformer pilates.

Working hard every day and looking forward to being back on board soon 🤞🏼

MY FOREVER BLUE (Dennis) and COUGAR MAIL (Rosie) both putting in a great first two phases at Wellington 3*S. Both scored well in their dressage, Rosie jumping clear SJ and Dennis just rolling a pole in the treble.

Decided to save their legs for another day XC and will head home to continue to rain dance. We did the same at Frickley last week, it’s no reflection on how hard the events are working in the driest summer we can remember, it’s a personal choice that every rider will have to make, there is no right or wrong. We were blessed with no cancellations early on in the year, so actually they are all pretty established at the level they’re at and we’re happy to wait for a bit more rain.

Always enjoy the trip down to , it’s a fantastic event and great experience for the younger ones in the main ring. Thank you to for putting us up too. Onwards and upwards to the next one.

So near yet so far.. 😅

Unfortunately after SWHISKEY led the dressage and clear SJ in the ROR class, I managed to drop my rein over fence 8a, and unlike Scott Brash, we didn’t wow the crowd and jump through the rest of the combination, instead we jumped the flower pot next to it 😂 Swipe to see the evidence 🤦🏼‍♀️
Very disappointing for his ever so supportive owners Molly Jackson and Rupert Neal, but hopefully we can put it right in the big ROR class at Cornbury next month 🤞🏼

Ruth Williams’ ONE NIGHT ONLY very much stepped up to the biggest challenge she’s faced with a 32.8, one pole and clear XC in her first British Novice Championships. Photo’s of the fiery little pocket rocket 🚀

Thank you Hartpury Equine International Events for a fantastic competition, the effort gone into the going was very much appreciated among all the riders.

Our thoughts however over the weekend have very much been with the family and friends of Sarah Yorke who sadly lost her life on Friday doing the sport we all love. ❤️

🤩 Jeanette Brakewell and Swhiskey are the dressage leaders after the first phase in the Retraining of Racehorses Novice Championship at the NAF Five Star International Hartpury Horse Trials and British Eventing Official Championships 😎

The leaderboard after the first phase looked like this:

2️⃣ Harry Dzenis and Claude De Berlais (27)
3️⃣ = Oliver Townend and Brookfield Carnivan (27.5)

Busy few weeks for the team but some exciting milestones reached!

✅ COUGAR MAIL is now an advanced horse jumping a brilliant clear round the 8/9yo advanced at Aston, she will now aim at Blenheim in September.
✅ 7yo ONE NIGHT ONLY jumped clear round her first intermediate. She will aim for Cornbury in September.
✅ MY FOREVER BLUE has proven himself at Intermediate level, with 4/4 clears since stepping up a couple of months ago. He led the dressage on a 26 at Aston last month and continues to prove what an exciting prospect he is.
✅ PRIMIRO jumped round his first Intermediate with just a green 20 penalties but lots of positives to take.
✅LOUISIANER jumped clear round her first 105 adding another top 10 to her record.
✅ and TEMPLEPATRICK JET put their fall behind them heading back to Aston and jumping clear round the Novice.
✅ and COLDHARBOUR ROYAL REBEL continue to build each event and head to the regional championships next time out 🤞🏼

On route down to Hartpury with ONE NIGHT ONLY in the Novice Championships and SWHISKEY in the ROR Open Novice. Big thanks to the whole team for keeping the show on the road at this busy time of year 🙌🏼
