Quali all done and lunch eaten! 🏁

We were looking really promising in P1 with just under 10 minutes to go, but unfortunately a pit-lane speeding penalty has dropped us down to P13.

Despite that, we’re still really pleased with where we’re at and confident in the speed this car has shown. We know the pace is there, and now it’s all about putting it together when it counts!

Lights out at 18:00. Time to get our heads down and go racing!

Day 1 Complete ✅

Had lots of seat time yesterday getting used to the car and making myself familiar with it,

We move onto Day 2 with Qualy at 10am then lights go out this afternoon.

We’ve been a little quiet on the front line here at base! 🏁

We’ve put the 2CV to bed after its run at Croft, but that doesn’t mean we’ve been sitting still. We’ve been busy getting everything prepared for a big weekend on Belgian soil!

At the start of the month, we headed to Spa in the C1, where I had some tuition to get me ready for the challenge ahead — taking on 24 Hours round Spa alongside 140 other cars.

Homework done, preparations complete, and we’re all set to set sail tomorrow night for a massive weekend behind the wheel of car 53. It’s going to be a long 24 hours but I’m more than looking forward to taking on this challenge.

What a day at Croft today! 🚗

We spent the day behind the wheel of both our cars the 2CV and C1 as well as the Vasstech Golf R. Today was all about having plenty of laughs, remembering Tim, and supporting a fantastic charity, Yorkshire Air Ambulance. 🚁❤️

The Golf R was quite frankly in a different universe compared to the 2CV when it came to speed! But give me the 2CV any day slower, noisier, and somehow twice the fun 😂

The 2CV can now be packed away until preparation for next season begins. I think she’s more than earned a well deserved rest after everything she’s been through this year! She’s certainly had a busy season, so I’m sure she’ll be quite happy to sit in the garage for a while and recover!

But there’s no time for us to put our feet up just yet… next week we’re taking the C1 to Spa for a track day as we start preparing for the 2CV 24 Hours, where I’ll be behind the wheel of the 53 car.

One chapter closes, another begins.

I told you I wasn’t done yet…

I’m off to SPA! 🇧🇪

Just over a week to go until our first visit to the legendary Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps for a testing & tutoring day in my C1.

Then we’re going back for the big one in the hybrid 2cv….. 24 HOURS AROUND SPA! 🏁

I’ve been incredibly lucky and grateful to have been given the opportunity to drive the #53 Les Rosbifs car alongside an absolutely amazing team.

It’s going to be a huge challenge, an incredible experience, and one I honestly can’t wait for.

Spa… here we come!
