WigSpeed We are racing a MG ZS 180 and MG ZR 170 and MG ZR 160.

We are a Father and Son racing team who are currently racing in the Equipe MG Cup and MGCC Cockshoot Cup, a North West based racing championship, with many other MG’s on the track.

Day one of Anglesey Complete!

Day start wet in Quali and ended dry for Race 1.

Leon Started 8th and finished 4th!

Paul started 9th and unfortunately finished 12th.

On to tomorrow we have another two races. Race is is 9:35 and Race 3 is 14:30 both stream on the BRSCC YouTube.

Race Week!

Race week has rolled around again. We been a little quite this season on social media anyway 😅

This week see is at two circuits!

Leon and Paul out at Anglesey with the BRSCC Cockshoot Cup! Out in the MG3 and the freshly rebuilt MG ZS. This is a triple header across Saturday and Sunday.

Eliza is out at Snetterton with the MG Owner Club. She is out in a MG ZR 170 and being support by our great friends at Langworth Motorsport. This is the Sunday only meeting

Silverstone National Race week!!

After driver error at Oulton Park we had some work to do!

We whipped the head off a few back to investigate damage! Bent all the valves and chipped all 4 pistons. A quiet Sunday saw us pull the engine, rebuild with a new cylinder head from Germany and re-install. Was even able to for a quick test drive.

Spent the rest of the time doing some weight reduction.

Highlight of this year!

As a team we have had a very busy season but looking back we wouldn’t want to change that. We have had our fair share of ups and downs, with quick rebuilds and repairs.

This season we had the pleasure of working with a bunch of new people and we are looking forwards to working with them all again.

Yes we have the long work of rebuilding the Pink ZR and the ZS again 🙄 but we are already looking at new cars and far into the future! If you spend the time to look through the below season highlights you will see the MG3. We are working with BRSCC Cockshoot Cup to give them their own Class! We are excited to be trying this in the light modified form so much that we are building 3 for the 2026 season!

This weekend saw us at the final round of the MGCC Cockshoot Cup racing on Silverstone National.

We had two drivers out who both took home great results.

Between Leon and Andrew they took home two class A 2nds and a Class F 1st.

As the below photos show the Turbo ZR got stripped mid meeting for its TF radiator. This was due to Andrew unfortunately taking a body trim through the front grill and puncturing the radiator causing a DNF.

But this meeting also saw Leon being the youngest driver in 40 years to win the MGCC Cockshoot Cup championship and Andrew taking the Class F title. Thank you to all organisers and competitors for making a great seasons racing again. But also thank you to Paul and Will as with your track side support we wouldn’t be racing. We also want to thank everyone for all the kind messages we have already received.

Also and massive thank you and shout out to Ray Collier at Tread for giving the opportunity to test out the new Davanti Tyres Protoura race tyre on this final round. We are very impressed with these tyres and how much grip and confidence these tyres give you.
