Highlight of this year!

As a team we have had a very busy season but looking back we wouldn’t want to change that. We have had our fair share of ups and downs, with quick rebuilds and repairs.

This season we had the pleasure of working with a bunch of new people and we are looking forwards to working with them all again.

Yes we have the long work of rebuilding the Pink ZR and the ZS again 🙄 but we are already looking at new cars and far into the future! If you spend the time to look through the below season highlights you will see the MG3. We are working with BRSCC Cockshoot Cup to give them their own Class! We are excited to be trying this in the light modified form so much that we are building 3 for the 2026 season!

This weekend saw us at the final round of the MGCC Cockshoot Cup racing on Silverstone National.

We had two drivers out who both took home great results.

Between Leon and Andrew they took home two class A 2nds and a Class F 1st.

As the below photos show the Turbo ZR got stripped mid meeting for its TF radiator. This was due to Andrew unfortunately taking a body trim through the front grill and puncturing the radiator causing a DNF.

But this meeting also saw Leon being the youngest driver in 40 years to win the MGCC Cockshoot Cup championship and Andrew taking the Class F title. Thank you to all organisers and competitors for making a great seasons racing again. But also thank you to Paul and Will as with your track side support we wouldn’t be racing. We also want to thank everyone for all the kind messages we have already received.

Also and massive thank you and shout out to Ray Collier at Tread for giving the opportunity to test out the new Davanti Tyres Protoura race tyre on this final round. We are very impressed with these tyres and how much grip and confidence these tyres give you.

Finally Back after a long weekend at Anglesey.

We had a great weekend this weekend at Anglesey with the Cockshoot Cup. Leon came home with 2 class wins and two 3rd Overalls. We also met a lot of new people and saw the sights Anglesey has to offer.

But the weekend wasn’t full of ups, we did experience the downs too. Leon managed to finish race 2 with a misfire which after stripping the engine tonight we have found a valve seat has dropped out. Also Andrew was on for a great weekend in his new ZR but unfortunately he dropped off a curb and was sent into a spin, and hit the barrier. He is fine and the car will be fixed.

But for now we have to build a new cylinder head and get Leon back out for this weekend. Looking forward to racing with the MGOC championship at Donington Park on Sunday.

We definitely have had an interesting Saturday at Donington Park 😅

The day started off pretty badly. Went out in free practise having a pretty good start, until it the talent ran out 😬 As Leon came down Craner Curves in the wet lost the rear of the car and unfortunately collided with the barrier at the bottom. This resulted in major damage to the passenger side of the car. After a quick hammer and new rear window and rear view mirror, we were race ready again in hour we had spare.

Started slow in Qualifying but picked the pace up and managed a second in class.

Race 1 started well and was having a great battle with Stuart for 1st in class. Unfortunately Leon and Stuart ended up touching shoulders, which unfortunately Leon caught the gravel. After getting back into the groove Leon finished 18th Overall and 9th in class.

Race 2 was the last race of the day after 5 hrs of repairs. We started close to the back of the grid where we finished race 1. After a good start Leon managed to pass 7 cars in Lap one coming up to 11th.
After some more great battling and working the way up the pack the safe car was deployed. At this point the in the race Leon was 2nd in Class but now was on the back of Callum Moore in 1st. Unfortunately Leon was able to keep a close enough gap to even make a move for 1st, meaning Leon finished 2nd in Class and 8th overall.

What another great day of racing from the Equipe MG Cup drivers. Yes we didn’t have a great day but that’s racing stuff happens, you can’t have your way all the time. Thank to Dickon Siddall for the amazing photos and service as per usual.
