An absolute shift from the start whistle to the end. The girls worked hard for the full 80, with some brilliant rugby across the park. 💪

🏆 POTM – Niamh Wilson
What better way to spend your 21st birthday than scoring SIX tries?! 🎂🔥 Niamh was a constant threat in attack, but it wasn’t just her tries that stood out. She put in some massive tackles all game. Don’t let her size fool you — this girl doesn’t just smash people, she’ll drive them back yards. 💥

💪🏼 FOTM – Candice Docherty
Versatile doesn’t quite cover it. Front row by trade, but you’d never know it when she’s pirouetting up the wing. Making metres, getting stuck in and crossing the whitewash. 👊

🌟 OPOTM – Amy Vance
A powerhouse at the back of the scrum and a proper leader in the pack. Dangerous in both attack and defence, Amy was making metres for fun all game and causing problems every time she got her hands on the ball.

A well-deserved week off next weekend before the girls get back to work and prepare for a top-of-the-table clash against Greenock at home on Sunday 4th October. 👀🔥

Unfortunately, Wigtownshire men are eliminated from the Shield after being knocked out due to the number of cards accrued during today’s game.

This week, the ladies make the journey up the A77 to Millbrae to face familiar opponents, Ayr Ladies. 💪🏼

A solid squad of 22 are making the trip and are ready to put in the work for another big 80 minutes. We’ve played Ayr plenty of times, and it’s always a good battle when these two sides meet. 🔥

This is a game you don’t want to miss. 👀

🏉 2027 Six Nations Tickets

Tickets for the 2027 Six Nations Championship are available to fully paid members of Wigtownshire Rugby Football Club.

Members can apply for tickets for the Scotland home fixtures. Once again, the club has access to the same allocation of tickets as in previous years. However, to mirror ticket access for the wider public, there is a limit of up to 4 tickets per game per member.

🎟️ How to Apply

We strongly recommend that members update their Scottish Rugby ticketing account, or create one if they do not already have an account.

The WRFC club allocation will be available for members to purchase through the Scottish Rugby Ticketing site, using the club Access Code, during the following period:

10am Friday 18 September – midnight Friday 16 October

Please note: You must be a fully paid WRFC member to apply, and the maximum allocation is 4 tickets per game per member.
