Bannockburn Rugby Club

Bannockburn Rugby Club We're a community rugby club based in Bannockburn, near Stirling. From P1 to adult rugby there’s a place for you.

Bannockburn Rugby Club was started by former pupils from St Modans High School in Stirling. Playing under the banner of St Modans FP's until the name was changed in 1996 to Bannockburn Rugby Club. The club play their home matches at the Bluebellwood Clubhouse sited in Bannockburn and presently run 2 senior XV and also have a mini/midi setup which meet on a Sunday morning. The club played their fir

st match in 1979 against HMS Neptune and entered the Midland league in 1980 until they joined the Glasgow set up in 1982 where they stayed until 1994 before rejoining the Midlands set up. In the 2000-01 season the club reached the heady heights of gaining promotion into the National leagues for the first time in their history. The club has also produced some players who have since gone onto greater things with other clubs, namely Newcastle Prop George Graham and Scotland B player Eddie Po***ck. The club are now concentrating on the youth set up and have forged links with local schools and have a thriving Junior set up which will hopefully bring through the players of the future. The club are also founding members of the Forth Valley Association of Rugby Clubs

🏉✨ 25 Years of Pride, Passion & Promotion ✨🏉

On 5 June 2026, the Bannockburn RFC family came together to celebrate two special achievements — the 25th anniversary of our historic promotion to the National Leagues in 2001 and our 2025/26 Caledonia Division 3 title-winning season.

It was a fantastic evening filled with stories, laughter, memories, and the chance to reconnect with old teammates and friends.

A huge thank you to our guest speakers, Lee Jones and Adam Sinclair. Lee shared insights from his remarkable professional and international rugby career, while Adam reflected on a rugby journey that began at Bannockburn and took him around the world before returning to share what the club means to him.

A memorable night celebrating our past, present, and future. 💙💛

The opening meeting will cover where we are as a squad, our vision moving forward, and the standards we want to set for the season ahead. We’ll discuss how we can continue to improve, compete, and achieve our goals together.

This is an opportunity for everyone to help shape the culture of the team—both current players and new arrivals. We’ll cover player and coach expectations, leadership opportunities within the squad, and key dates and events throughout the season.

🚌 Team trips, social events, and initiatives to maximise attendance and commitment will also be discussed.

Full buy-in from everyone will be crucial this season. The challenge ahead is a step up, but it’s well within our reach, and together we can deliver another fantastic season for the Bannockburn Men’s 1XV.
