WELCOME TO THE UNIVERSITY OF STIRLING CYCLING CLUB
We are fortunate enough to have some of the best roads and trails right on our doorstep. Whether it be just riding off campus onto our hidden MTB trails that we've built in the local area or cycling on skinny tyres up the infamous Logie Kirk (location of 2016 BUCS Hill Climb) just 1km from campus and boasting a maximum gradient of over 30%; or go
ing further afield to local trail centres such as Comrie Croft or riding over Duke's Pass on the road to Aberfoyle; Stirling has it all. With such good local terrain it seems a shame not to ride a bike and thats what we love to do. Group Rides
We run regular rides every week for both MTB and Roadies on Wednesday at 13:30 for all abilities meeting at the top of the steps at the Gannochy Sports Hall. Additionally we have a Facebook group where members' arrange extra rides whether that is a leisurely ride to Doune Castle or a quick 3-Up TT down the Corrie's Classic TT route. Racing
We try and get members competing in as many BUCS events as possible. Last year we had representatives at BUCS Track at Manchester Velodrome, England and BUCS DH at Antur Stiniog MTB Centre in Gwynedd, Wales. We also had a representative racing at the Scottish University Cyclocross who is set to race BUCS Hill Climb on our very own Logie Kirk. Socials and Events
Its not always about riding bikes. We try to get everyone involved by organising varied socials and events to suit all throughout the academic year; whether thats pub quizzes, pub crawls, themed nights, ultimate 3 hour spinning sessions or our bi-annual club championships that involves road hill climbs, mtb slaloms and mini-bike racing, we have got it covered.
