It seems there are 2 approaches to relay team naming here in Scotland: the factual vs the imaginative!
Both camps were well represented at the Lasers Are Us Scottish National Triathlon Relay Championships this weekend in Haddington.
The event was hosted by East Lothian Triathlon Club as part of the East Lothian Triathlon Festival, and the club was well represented on the podium. Edinburgh Triathletes and
TriWorks put together some great teams for some super results.
The atmosphere was amazing as club mates cheered on all of their athletes. A great reminder of the fun that can be had with relay racing.
The penultimate 2026 championship event will be hosted by Fleet Feet Triathletes at Knockburn Sports Loch this weekend- get ready for some standard distance racing!!

National Triathlon Centre athletes enjoyed crystal clear open water swims, long bikes on picturesque mountains and some scenic run routes on their recent camp in Morzine. It was the perfect setting to bank some great sessions as a team.

You swam, rode and ran through breathtaking Perthshire and now our Scottish National Middle Distance Triathlon Champions have been crowned! What a day for it, and what an event Aberfeldy Multi-Sport Festival put together for everyone. Enjoy the glory, and will you defend it next year?
A few Championship titles remain for the season, next up is the East Lothian Triathlon Club hosted Lasers Are Us TEAM RELAYS on 30 August!

You only have until this SUNDAY to get your team relay entries in for the East Lothian Triathlon Festival on 30 August!
East Lothian Triathlon Club will host the Scottish National Championships for the 2026 team relay, so get your teams together quick!
Remember, to be eligible for championship titles:
1. All team members must have a valid CORE or ULTIMATE Triathlon Scotland Membership on race day.
2. All team members must be in the same TS affiliated club, and that club must be listed on each member's profile when they log in to the BTF website.
3. If a member has an out of date club affiliation listed on their profile, send us an email to facilitate a change, but bear in mind this can only be done once within any 12 month period.
