Into Round 2 of the Cup ✔️

The seagulls were back to winnings ways with a 3-0 dominant win against Carlisle Athletic!

In the first half, it seemed to be one of them games where it wasn’t going our way with chances going to waste. However, Carlisle Athletic became the architect of their own downfall with a player being sin binned just before half time. This was the catalyst to our much improved second half performance!

Young Jackson Slack opened the scoring, with Bradley Williamson making it 2-0 soon after! More chances created, more frustrated Carlisle Athletic players! And a hell of a dodgy linesmen. But that’s didn’t stop Liam Wilson Cars from making it 3-0! Happy Saturday 😄

POTM - Jason Donald
Goalscorers - Jackson Slack, Bradley Williamson, Liam Wilson.

Up the Gulls 💙

🏉 SILLOTH RUGBY CLUB – WE WANT YOU! 🏉
🏉 COULD RUGBY BE RETURNING TO THE OLD MARSHALLING YARDS?
Silloth Rugby Club is exploring the possibility of relaunching rugby at the Old Marshalling Yards as part of the new Cumbria RU Social Rugby initiative.
We now want to hear from potential players, former players and anyone who would like to help make it happen.
🏉 SOCIAL RUGBY ACROSS CUMBRIA
The initiative is being supported by Cumbria RU, with five clubs hosting Social Rugby events:
• Carlisle Rugby Club – 16 October
• Kendal Rugby Club – 20 November
• Wigton Rugby Club – December – date TBC
• Aspatria RUFC – 12 February
• Cockermouth RUFC – March – date TBC
The events are designed to be flexible, social and inclusive, with opportunities for players of different ages and experience levels to get involved.
🏉 NOW WE NEED SILLOTH!
We are looking for:
🏉 PLAYERS
Experienced players, former players, players returning after a break – and people who have never played before.
🤝 HELPERS & VOLUNTEERS
Coaches, referees, team managers, organisers, fundraisers or anyone who simply wants to lend a hand.
💬 YOUR IDEAS
What would you like to see at Silloth? Social rugby? Friendly games? Touch rugby? Masters-style rugby? Training sessions? Midweek or weekend rugby?
📣 OPEN MEETING
We are planning an open meeting to find out how much interest there is and discuss how we could move forward.
There is no commitment at this stage – we simply want to hear from you.
If you are interested in playing, helping or getting involved, please contact Silloth Rugby Club and register your interest.
🏉 LET'S SEE IF WE CAN GET RUGBY BACK AT THE OLD MARSHALLING YARDS!
