💙 Our very own Sammy is taking on the Great North Run! 🏃♀️💙
As a club, we’re incredibly proud of one of our teammates, Sammy, who is lacing up her trainers to take on the Great North Run in support of an incredibly important cause.
Sammy is running for her amazing mam, Linda, who was recently diagnosed with dementia. While they’re still in the early stages of this journey, dementia is a heartbreaking illness that affects so many families, and Sammy wants to do her bit to help make a difference.
The journey to the start line hasn’t been easy either! At the beginning of the year, running 5K felt impossible, but through sheer determination and hard work, she’s already conquered a half marathon without stopping. Now she’s ready to take on one of the UK’s biggest running events! 💪👏
We’re all behind you, Sammy, and we know you’ll smash it. ❤️
