Back to Rissington! 🏁

Really looking forward to getting back out on track at Rissington this weekend for a bit of fun.

TWM and Matrix Group are putting on a Libre-style race for Juniors and Seniors, so it should be a great weekend with plenty of track time and some good racing.

It’s been a while since I’ve raced at Rissington, so I’m excited to get back there, enjoy the weekend and see what we can do. 👊

Really good to visit GEM in Warwick and meet the team 👋🏁

GEM is a local engineering company that we already know and use for bearings and engineering supplies, so having their support behind my racing means a lot.

It was great to take the kart down, meet the management from GEM and Rotamec Group, show them a bit more about what we do and have a proper chat about the racing.

GEM are now part of Rotamec Group, combining their local engineering knowledge and experience with a much wider UK engineering network.

Karting at this level takes a huge amount of support and every bit of help is genuinely appreciated. It gives us the opportunity to do more testing, get more seat time and keep pushing forward.

A massive thank you to everyone at GEM and Rotamec Group for taking the time to meet us and for getting behind Jack Baker Racing. It really does mean a lot. ❤️🏁

Hopefully we can give you plenty to cheer about! 👊

If you know me, you’ll know I’m never completely happy with a lap — I’m always looking at where I can improve and find more time! 😂🏁

Here’s one of my laps around the new Silverstone Kart Circuit. There’s definitely plenty more time to find, but for my first experience of the track I really enjoyed it. A brilliant circuit and hopefully the first of many laps around here.

Massive thanks to Tim and everyone at TWM, and to the Silverstone Kart Circuit team for a great test day and making us feel so welcome.

Really looking forward to this one! 🏁

On Tuesday I’ll be heading to KART Silverstone for my first time testing on their brand-new circuit.

A completely new track for me, so it’ll be all about learning the circuit, getting plenty of laps in and building throughout the day.

Can’t wait to get out there and see what it’s like! 👊

I’m really looking forward to this one. We’ve had some positive testing recently, learned a lot with the new Birel, and I’m feeling ready for the challenge.

KZ2! 🤯

A huge thank you to everyone at Rissington for putting on a brilliant test day. It’s such a shame the entries were low because the track was mega all day.

The X30 testing went really well. A few setup tweaks, getting the tyre pressures right and the kart felt absolutely planted. Most of the day was spent working on being smooth, carrying speed and using as little steering input as possible.

Then came the surprise…

My first ever run in a KZ2.

WOW. Now I understand why everyone talks about them! The acceleration, braking and grip are just on another level. I came back into the pits with a massive smile on my face.

Massive thank you to Mark, Neil and my mate Oscar Keen for giving me the opportunity. It’s something I’ll never forget and I think it’s safe to say I’m completely hooked now.

The only problem is I was saving up for a bike… now I’m trying to work out how to afford a KZ2 instead! 😂

Thanks again to all the marshals, officials and volunteers for making the day happen. I just wish there were more chances to race at Rissington like there used to be.

Really excited to welcome GEM Integrated Solutions and the Rotamec Group to the Jack Baker Racing team!

A huge thank you to Adam and Chrissie for taking the time to listen to my dad explain what I do and where I want to get to in motorsport. Anyone who knows my dad knows that’s usually not a short conversation! 😂

I’m also incredibly grateful to the Rotamec Group for their support and for making this partnership possible.
