🌡️ SHENINGTON HEATWAVE CUP – ROUND 6 🌡️

We’re finally back racing this weekend! 🏁

Another full Junior X30 grid means it’s going to be busy, competitive and probably a little bit chaotic!

I’m really looking forward to seeing how the new chassis performs around Shenington. It’ll be interesting to see what it can do around one of my favourite tracks.

The plan? Stay out of trouble, avoid being used as someone else’s braking marker, and bring home a strong result! 😅

Hot weather, big grid, great racing…

Bring it on! 💪🔥

Yesterday was my first proper test in the new chassis from and I couldn’t be happier with how the day went.

A huge thank you to Scott and Mark for helping make this possible. The kart feels very different under braking and through the corners, but I settled in quickly and can already see the potential it has. There is still plenty to learn, but I’m loving the new challenge and can feel there is a lot more to come.

It was also great to spend the day on track with one of my close friends, . James was seriously quick all day and it’s always great racing, learning and pushing each other forward.

A massive thank you to Tim and everyone at for always pushing me to get the best out of myself and the kart. The support, coaching and attention to detail make a huge difference every time I hit the track.

Thank you as well to for their continued support of my racing journey.

We finished the day with a 41.2-second lap time on one-meeting-old tyres, just one tenth away from the current Junior X30 Kimbolton lap record. That’s encouraging, but we’re not getting carried away. There is still plenty to learn, plenty to improve and more speed to find.

Roll on the next test day 👊🏁

A massive thank you to Jacob at JSR Race Engines for all the support, hard work, and knowledge he’s put into helping me develop this season. 🏁

JSR Race Engines is about far more than just rebuilds. From engine rebuilds, hire packages, dyno work, carb support, and trackside help, Jacob is always looking at how to improve and get the most out of every package.

Having a strong karting background himself, and coming from a family with real motorsport pedigree, that experience shows in the small details — reliability, consistency, performance, and always trying to find more.

This season we’ve had 2 race wins, won the Winter 100 Championship, and a strong P5 at Shenington — and a big part of that confidence comes from knowing the work behind the scenes is being done properly.

Whether it’s Shenington, PFI, Whilton Mill, or British karting paddocks, Jacob is always pushing to improve, support drivers, and get the best from both engine and package.

If you’re looking for engine rebuilds, hire engines, dyno support, carb work, and someone who genuinely wants to help you improve, JSR Race Engines is definitely one to speak to. 👊🏁

Shenington Round 5 – May Day Speed Fest 🌦️🏁

The pace hasn’t been too bad all weekend, but it definitely wasn’t an easy one.

Saturday started with a DNS in Practice 3 just before Heat 1, but Heat 1 went really well in the wet. Started P11 and worked my way up to P2 which gave us a lot of confidence going into Sunday.

Sunday morning practice pace was decent again in the dry, but Heat 2 didn’t go to plan. We changed the carb before heading to the grid and think that’s what caused the kart not to start, meaning I had to start from the back instead of P9. Managed to fight up to P14 before getting used as brakes and taken out around Bruno. Went back to the rear of the field, made a few more places, but it definitely wasn’t the result we wanted.

Heat 3 was another recovery drive starting P24. Head down pushing hard and got up to P11 before someone spun in front of me heading down to Wilkins. I tried to avoid it but just clipped the kart, bent the steering bar and track rod, and that was the end of the heat with a DNF.

That left me starting the Final from P19. Dad managed to get everything repaired in time and despite struggling with understeer, we still managed to bring it home P7 after penalties.

For how the weekend went, ending up P7 wasn’t too bad and me and Dad learnt a massive amount again.

Huge thanks to Tim and the whole TWM team — absolutely love being part of the team and the atmosphere they create every weekend. Big thanks as well to JSR Engines for all the support throughout the weekend, really appreciate it Jacob. Thank you to Adventure Sports Warwick for the continued support, and a big thank you to Stu Stretton Photography, Tom at Foxy Red Photography, and Lafuente Media for capturing the photos and videos from the weekend.

Thanks as well to Shenington Kart Racing Club and all the marshals because none of this happens without you all.

Onwards and upwards 👊🏁

Round 5 at Shenington Kart Racing Club — May Day Speed Fest.

31 karts on the Junior X30 grid with some seriously quick drivers, so it’s going to be a tough weekend. Weather is looking like sunshine and showers which should make things even more interesting.

I know what I need to do … head down and keep pushing. Let’s go 👊

You can watch it live all weekend on YouTube with Alpha Live 🎥

Big thanks to TWM, Adventure Sports Warwick and everyone supporting me this season.

What a great way to spend my Birthday… back at PFI Kart Circuit testing with TWM and mates. 🎂🏁

Dry and grippy conditions all day which meant loads of laps, plenty learnt, and lots to work on.

Big thanks to Tim for the cakes as well 😂🎂

Now back to work chasing those extra tenths. 👊

Back up to PFI for testing this weekend.
Feels like ages since I’ve been on track, so looking forward to getting back behind the wheel and putting the laps in.

Track time counts, especially when you’re always chasing those last few tenths. Plenty to work on, plenty to learn — let’s get after it 👊

Big thanks to TWM Motorsport, JSR Race Engines and Adventure Sports Warwick for all the support.

Shenington Round 4 highlights 🏁

Best bits from Heat 1 & the Final—some good battles in there 👊
Still more pace to find… always learning.

Thanks to TWM, JSR & Adventure Sports Warwick for the support 🙌

Something I’ve been looking into recently… 👀

I’m always trying to improve between sessions, but the biggest problem is how quickly you forget what the kart actually felt like once you come in.

That’s where XRaceAI is interesting.

Right now it’s focused on capturing your thoughts in the moment — corner by corner — and turning that into something you can actually use next time out.

But what’s coming looks even better…
Not just notes, but something that can help you understand patterns, track progress, and guide what to work on next.

Basically… working smarter between sessions, not just driving more laps.

Still early, but definitely one to watch. 👊
