A tough weekend for Ayrton at Whilton Mill but he’ll be back stronger I’m sure of it. 💪🏼

Chassis has seen better days so that’s it stripped down and ready to swap over to our spare and will see if DRJ can work some magic on the ‘Red Rocket 🚀’ as it has now been named.

On Friday we’re heading off to for round 4 of 🇬🇧

A new track, and a grid of 17 so far, so it will be a challenge for Ayrton competing against some of the fastest kids in the country, but he’s determined as ever to do his best🏁

Teesside Sprint Series Round 3 🏁

A good weekend for Ayrton, usual mix of MightE and comer C50 on the Teesside Bambino grid but we had our good friend .racing along to join in the mix.

Ayrton had a great Saturday, setting PB after PB, tiring a little by qualifying but still put it P3 overall, 1st MightE.

Heat 1 - P2 MightE (P3 Overall)
Starting P1 on the road this time was new for Ayrton and unfortunately after a jump start from a fellow competitor he wasn’t able to stick an overtake back on them but still battled away bringing home valuable points towards the finals.

Heat 2 - P2
Ayrton held his own in this race taking his starting position right the way to the chequered flag. 🏁

Heat 3 - P2
Challenge on again this time just unable to hold off but kept his head down and didn’t hold back. Good clean racing 💪🏼.

Finals - P2
This one mattered a lot to Ayrton, really held his own, 2nd quickest kart on track with a solid gap from him back to P3. Worked hard for it and brought home a well deserved P2 🏆

Whilst at the Borders Competitions meet last month we had the pleasure of speaking to Doug Niven. A real racer in his own right from the infamous Border Reivers days and of-course family trustee of the Jim Clark Trust. Doug showed a great interest in Ayrton’s MightE electric bambino go kart and in his journey. Hopefully we have more on this soon!

A solid weekend, plenty experience gained.
Starting from the back every heat gave Ayrton an extra challenge even after qualifying P2 overall.

Heat 1 - P6 > P3
Heat 2 - P6 > P2
Heat 3 - P6 > P2
Finals - P6 > P4
