Get inspired, learn and grow to become the person that you want to be and live a life fully lived.

Matter. : help people and organizations thrive. Hier en hier kan je trouwens nog wat meer van mijn achtergrond lezen.

Somewhere along the way, most of us learned to take ourselves very seriously. To perform. To optimise. To grow up, and then to keep growing up, as if there were a prize at the end of it.

But I've noticed something: the people I admire most; the ones who feel most alive; haven't outgrown their inner child. They've kept them close. They laugh easily. They get curious about strange things. They make space for play, for wonder, for the kind of joy that doesn't have to be earned.

When I'm honest with myself, my best ideas, my best moments, my most alive feelings, almost none of them come from the grown-up in me. They come from the part that still knows how to be delighted.

Adulthood asks a lot of us. But it doesn't actually require us to leave that part of ourselves behind. We just forget we're allowed to bring them along.

Here's this week's mediation to help you reconnect with joy and wonder:

This week’s meditation 😇

Somewhere inside you, the child you once were is still here.

Still carrying the wonder. Still carrying the lightness. Still waiting, quietly, to be welcomed back 🤍

This week’s Sunday Reset comes with a new meditation, a slow, gentle journey to reconnect with your inner child. To meet them and invite them to be free to play again.

Because so much of what we’re searching for as adults, the joy, the spontaneity, the ease just got quiet.

Adulthood asks a lot of us. But it doesn’t actually require us to leave that part of ourselves behind. We just forget we’re allowed to bring them along.

🎧 The full meditation is in this week’s Sunday Reset (newsletter). Subscribe via the link in bio.

Years ago, I was a rat-racer. Overworked, over-caffeinated, climbing something I'd stopped questioning. My head had a very clear plan for my life. My heart had been trying to get a word in for a long time.

Then one day, instead of choosing the safe next step, I followed something else: a quiet excitement that didn't make logical sense. I took a sabbatical. I travelled the world. I let the trip change me.

What I found wasn't an escape. It was me. The version of me that had been buried under spreadsheets and shoulds.

I didn't give up on ambition, but I came back as someone who works hard from a different place, from a place of flow.

Not having fear anymore of falling behind, but genuinely loving what I'm doing.

I learned something I keep relearning:
when excitement and fear show up at the same doorway, excitement is usually the heart speaking. Fear is just the mind catching up.

Here's a question to sit with this week:
What is your heart whispering that your head keeps overriding?

Thich Nhat Hanh once said something that stuck with me:
“The Longest Journey you will ever take is from your Head to your Heart.”

Physically, it’s only about 25 centimeters, yet in lived experience, it can be one of the most meaningful (and challenging) journeys of our lives.

Especially in modern society.

We’re driven by outcomes.

We’re wired to operate on the premise that life will be better once we’re “there”. When we get that promotion, when we reach that goal, when we become more efficient with our time, when we move to a nicer house, when the circumstance works more in our favor, when we loose that weight, when work will be less busy, etc.

We make there better than here, often subtly or unconsciously, so we keep on grinding.

It’s one of the reasons we live in our heads most of the time.

We think, analyze, plan, optimize, worry, push forward,… which makes it harder to stay connected to the things that matter most.

It makes it more difficult to move through life from a place of knowing, calm and confidence (the heart) as we’re occupied with the past, the future, and everything that needs doing.

Here's a meditation that can support you in that journey:

We're more connected than ever. And somehow lonelier, more stretched, more "on" than we've ever been.

Always reachable. Rarely present.
Achieving plenty. Still quietly craving meaning.

I used to think the answer was to add more: more discipline, more tools, more effort.

It isn't.

The shift happens when you choose less. Less noise. Less pushing. Less of what was never really yours to carry.

That's the heart of Becoming Yourself: a 3- or 6-month journey combining two things I've spent years learning to hold together: conscious connected breathwork and deep coaching.

Breath to reach what words can't.
Coaching to make sense of what surfaces.
Together they go somewhere neither reaches alone.

It's a journeyquietly coming home to who you already are: lighter, calmer, more yourself.

If something in you just leaned in..... I keep a few spaces for a free connection call. No pressure, just a real conversation to see if this is for you.
