Becoming a mum has been the biggest, most beautiful change to my life. 🩷 But one thing I’m learning is that showing up for Effie doesn’t mean I have to stop showing up for myself.

In those first few months, I think I put a lot of pressure on myself to carry on as normal.

Work. Train. Be productive. Keep on top of everything. Be present. Be a good mum.

And somewhere amongst all of that, I realised I wasn’t really giving myself much space to just… adjust.

So lately, I’ve been focusing on the small things that make me feel good. 🥰

Getting outside every day.
Nourishing my body.
Moving when I can.
Allowing myself to slow down without feeling guilty.
And making time for things that make me feel like me.

My routine looks completely different now. Some days I get loads done, other days Effie needs me more and I’m learning to be okay with both. 🩷

Motherhood doesn’t mean losing who I was before.

I’m still ambitious. I still love training. I still love getting dressed up, going out, working towards my goals and doing things that fill my own cup.

I’m still me, as well as Mum.

And I’m slowly learning that taking care of myself isn’t taking anything away from Effie.

If anything, looking after myself helps me show up better for her. 🥹🩷

Still learning. Still adjusting. Still finding our new rhythm together and giving myself a little more grace along the way. 🫶🏼

A week of solo parenting, working, and trying to fit in what I can to prioritise me too 🩷

Finding my feet with this new balance and learning that looking after myself is just as important amongst everything else. Training when I can, getting outside, slowing down when I need to, and soaking up as much time with my little bestie as possible 🥹

We’re also well and truly in the thick of the 4 month sleep regression 😅 but what could be sweeter than Effie happily babbling away to herself at 2am 🥹😂🩷

Effie is growing SO quickly and I honestly don’t know where the time is going. Every new little milestone, smile, sound and change in her personality is just incredible to watch 🥰

Some days are definitely more chaotic than others 😂 but I wouldn’t change this season of life for the world.

Just trying to be present, enjoy it all and remember that I matter in the mix too 🩷

Thank you to my good friend Scott Bingham for your hospitality (and the babysitting 🥰😂).

So proud of you and what you’ve built with BOXXGYM ! 👏🏼

Scott and I worked together for years back in my PT days at Lifestyle Fitness, which is actually where my whole fitness and competing journey began. So he’s genuinely been there from the very start… including the start of me and Nathan 😁❤️

And of course, a very important milestone… Effie’s first time in a boxing ring 😅🥊😂 Starting her young!

Always so nice to catch up and get a session in 🫶🏼

Training is being kept steady at the moment with more of a deload approach while I give my body a chance to properly recover. Then, once recovery is in a better place, I’ll be ready to start building the intensity back up again 💪🏼

For now, ticking the boxes without pushing when my body is telling me it needs a little more time.

What an amazing day at the tbJP Nutrition x 2 BP Events NPC Pro Qualifier yesrerday! 🤩

Nothing beats spending the day with the team and of course having my little mascot Effie there for her second stage appearance… she’s a natural already! 😍❤️

We can’t forget the launch of the limited edition Performance Protein flavours… dayummmm 😮‍💨🔥 They are so good! You definitely won’t be disappointed.

A brilliant day all round 🙌🏻💙
