Job Opportunity: HGV Drivers (Class 1 & Class 2)

Due to continued growth, we are looking for experienced Class 1 and Class 2 HGV Drivers to join our transport team at our Rotherham depot.

1 Up Access is a leading supplier of access equipment, providing high-quality solutions to customers across the UK. Operating from our purpose-built depot in Rotherham, we run a modern fleet and pride ourselves on delivering a reliable and professional service to our customers.

As part of our transport team, you will be responsible for the safe delivery and collection of access equipment from customer sites across the region and beyond. You will be representing the company on site, so professionalism, safety, and excellent customer service are essential.

Key Responsibilities
• Safely and efficiently operate Class 1 or Class 2 HGV vehicles
• Deliver and collect access equipment from customer sites
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
• Ensure compliance with all driver hours regulations and transport legislation
• Liaise with customers, site contacts, and the transport team to ensure smooth deliveries and collections
• Maintain high standards of professionalism when representing the company

Essential Requirements
• Valid Class 1 or Class 2 HGV Licence
• Valid Driver CPC and Tachograph Card
• Good understanding of transport compliance and driver hours regulations
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Desirable Requirements
• Experience within the access, plant hire, or construction industries
• IPAF certification, although training can be provided for the right candidates
• Experience loading, securing, and transporting plant or access equipment

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Class 2 HGV Driver to join our team at our Rotherham depot. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a professional and growing organisation with a modern fleet and busy transport operation.

The role will primarily involve delivering and collecting access equipment across a variety of customer sites while supporting our transport team with day-to-day operations. Flexibility, professionalism, and a strong focus on safety are essential.

Key Responsibilities
• Safely and efficiently operate Class 2 HGV vehicles
• Deliver and collect access equipment from customer sites
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and ensure vehicles are kept clean and presentable
• Ensure full compliance with all driving regulations, including driver hours and vehicle safety standards
• Liaise professionally with customers and site contacts during deliveries and collections

Essential Requirements
• Valid Class 2 HGV Licence
• Valid Driver CPC and Tachograph Card
• Good understanding of driver hours and transport compliance
• Plant or access industry experience would be advantageous
