Update ‼️

Today the cast was removed and pins taken out. The doctors confirmed they were happy with how the bone had healed and that after a week of getting movement back in the thumb I could get back to work. Over the next few weeks I’ll also be receiving physio on the thumb to get the full strength back. Id like to thank everyone who has helped me during the past 6/7 weeks. It’s greatly appreciated

Update ‼️

So what was thought to be a simple break and normal recovery changed yesterday when I was phoned and told to come in today for an operation on my thumb. The doctor said he wasn’t happy and wanted to wire it together to give it a better and quicker chance of recovering. Naturally when he asked if I had any questions the only question I had was “doc, how long till I can ride my bike again”. 😂Apparently a couple months which sadly brings my season to an early end. He did say the cast should come off in 6 weeks though so hopefully back to work before the couple months.

This being said I’d like to take the time to thank everyone for there kind comments and well wishes. I’ve been blown away with everyone’s kindness and generosity of offering help weather it’s for me or help getting the bike sorted. It’s not gone unnoticed

I’d like to thank the marshals medics and officials at Oliver’s mount for there quick actions and professionalism during and after the accident

Thanks again to everyone who helped during the season and that weekend

Oliver’s mount

Well not the weekend we wanted or expected. Saturday was good with 3 new rider laps, 3 practice laps, a 15 minute qualifying session and one race. In every session getting faster and more comfortable and enjoying every lap.
Then came Sunday. Not really sure how the race went as memory is a bit shot from today after having a big crash on the last lap of the first race of the day. Come away with some concussion and a broken thumb with doctors saying it’s a 4-6 week recovery.
The bike also took a fair rattle and will need a lot of work done to it.

I’d like to thank Cody, Louisa and the keirnans for sorting my stuff and loading van for me while I was at the hospital. Thank you to Lauren, Nicola, mylie and mylies mum for coming and collecting me and the van from the track. Without you all I’d be very stuck

A big thank you to my sponsors

East fortune Scottish Championship round 4

Qualifying - 8th
Race 1 - 5th
Race 2 - 4th
Race 3 - 5th new PB - 1.07.460
Race 4 - 5th

An absolutely brilliant weekend at east fortune. Took me a few laps to adjust back to the cb after riding the f900 as the cb is so much lighter and turns a lot easier then the bmw but come qualifying I was happy again. After that the results and times speak for there self’s. It was good to get in behind Mathew who usual pulls a fair gap on me. I come into the weekend with a few ideas of places I could improve and what I could do to improve and it seems to have worked.

Thanks to my sponsors and everyone who helped during the weekend

Day 3 bsb knockhill

Started the main race today in 26th place. Got a decent start off the line but got passed by a couple of riders in the first lap then after that was a lonely race to finish 27th. Struggled towards the end of the race with fitness with this being a heavier bike than I’m used to and a longer race but I know where improvements can be made from my self and overall I’m happy with how my first bsb weekend went.
From never riding an f900 until free practice on Friday to getting straight through to the main race and then not finishing last and setting some good times there’s so many positives to take from this weekend

I’d like to thank everyone who helped this weekend or gave advice. Without you the weekend would have been so much harder.

Thanks as always to all the sponsors who help out massively

Day 2 bsb knockhill

Started the heat race in p15. Finished the race in 13th which means i go straight through to the main race tomorrow without needing to go through the last chance qualifier race. We went for a gamble on suspension set up as this was the first time out on track where it had been dry. Nothing drastically wrong with our decision but now know that for tomorrows main race we will have to stiffen up the rear suspension a little bit. All in all a good day and pleased with the result and the times
Thanks again to all who have helped and offered tips and advice

Day one bsb knockhill
Good first day on the f900. 2 free practice sessions and a qualifying session. Done a few changes over the 2 practice sessions to help me feel more comfortable on the bike so by the time it came to qualifying we could stay out as long as possible to try get a good lap time.
I managed to qualify 29th out of 35 and qualify within the 110% of pole position which means I’m in the heat race tomorrow. Thanks so much to everyone that’s helped me in the garage and for all the support. It’s greatly appreciated
