A tough game with plenty to take away from and plenty to be proud of. We played against a side two leagues above us, and took a 9 point lead at half time (with 2 potential tries held up!)

The strength in depth available to Amersham & Chiltern came through in the second half, and unfortunately we were unable to keep the momentum. Immensely proud of the lads tonight, and there's no better way to prepare for a season than challenging ourselves against stronger opposition.

Thanks to Amersham & Chiltern RFC for a great game and good luck for the rest of the season.

Join us tonight for our first game of the season as we take on Chiltern and Amersham 2s! Away game, 8pm Kick Off!

The last time The Grizzlies played C&A was in the 2014/15 season, back when the Herts Merit leagues had 7 tables in what was then the Merit 7 South West! (If you remember the scores then let us know in the comments).

The new season is here and we're starting things off with a Friday Night pre season Friendly against Amersham & Chiltern 2s this Friday 8pm kick off!

We'll be playing in Herts Merit 1 this year, which see's a few new opponents for us this season in Hatfield, The Mount, Mill Hill, and Bishop Stortford Chindits.

As always, dates and kick-off times may change, and friendlies may be added to our schedule, so keep an eye out for the Match Day posts. Our game against Hatfield on the 12th has also been postponed due to drought this summer, which has wreaked havoc with the pitches. All clubs have been given extended time to allow their pitches to recover.

Looking forward to another season of supporting The Grizzlies! Let's go! 🍻🍻🍻

The Grizzlies finish top of the league!

A slightly odd season in that we competed in 2 leagues within a single season. But that minor admin error didn't effect us at all! The first half of the season saw us play a new opponent in Cantabs for the first time, as well as taking on a few oppos we haven't played in years in teams such as Hertford and Letchworth.

After the leagues were reshuffled at Christmas, The Grizzlies were selected for the top tier for the second half of the season. We lost 1 game which was against local rivals Verulamians, and the rest we won.

Overall a top season with more silverware in the cabinet for The Grizzlies!
