MESSAGE FROM OUR FIRST TEAM MANAGER:

As Season 2025/26 comes to a close, reflecting on my first season as Manager of Runcorn Sports Football Club. One that started off so positive, sitting second in the table in November and then just started to derail from then in with our inconsistent performances leading to a 6th place finish

I could make loads of excuses but in the end we just weren’t good enough and I expect better from me and for Runcorn Sports FC

On a positive note, I feel like we have stabilised the club following last seasons relegation and this gives us a good footing to go and kick on for next season and we are keen and confident we can do that.

But the most important thing in football is you get to learn a lot about yourself and of the players. Bring on the 2026/27 Season

🏆 WFA NATIONAL CUP – ROUND 2 🏆

Tomorrow night we welcome the Fylde Coasters to Runcorn as they make the long trip for our Round 2 clash in the WFA National Cup ⚽👏

The game will also see one of Runcorn footy’s true legends, Timmy, once again pulling on the shirt and competing on the national stage. His passion, commitment and love for the game continue to inspire everyone around the club.

Let’s get down to Brookvale Rec and support the lads under the lights for what promises to be a great cup tie!

🚨 OPEN TRAINING SESSION 🚨

We’re excited to launch training for our new development team and would love for you to come along!

Join our new manager, Iain, for an open training session on Tuesday 19th at 6:30pm at St Clements School, Runcorn.

Whether you’re looking to develop your game, carrying on playing into open age football, or join a great team environment everyone is welcome!

Our development team will be playing matches in the Chester & Wirral Football League in the upcoming 26/27 season!

Our walking football team finished their first season today in the Cheshire WFL. They came runners up with 80 points. We are so proud of this team who has grown and gained new members at least every month. They’re still competing however as they have WFA national cup games coming up for both over 50s and 60s and in the summer The FA cup.

It’s a HUGE one this weekend for Runcorn Sports as we travel away to face Cammell Lairds Reserves in the Haworth & Gallagher Bowl Semi-Final 🏆

Games against Lairds are always a great watch, with both sides going at it from the first whistle,this one promises to be no different. A final is on the line, and the lads will need your support more than ever.
