Houlton WI have some lovely events coming up over the next few months 💛

This week is Greek Dancing and next month there's a Summer Styling session! They’re a great way to try something different, meet new people and get involved in the community here at Houlton.

The sessions are open to both WI members and non members.

There’s so much that goes on behind the scenes to bring the Houlton Family Fun Day together 👏

From our wonderful Houlton Events Team and local volunteers to community groups, sponsors and businesses, it’s a real community effort that helps make the day so fantastic!

This year, the event is supporting Back and Forth - Men’s Mental Health , a local group helping create safe spaces for conversation, support and connection within the community.

There’ll be plenty of food, music, inflatables, games and activities going on throughout the afternoon for all ages to enjoy. It’s always one of the highlights of the summer and we’d love to see lots of you there.

Did you know Houlton’s adventure playground was part of a local PhD project? ✏️

The study explored how adventurous play spaces can support children’s confidence, independence and development and Houlton’s play area was highlighted as part of that research.

This space was designed to encourage imagination, exploration and adventurous play in a way that helps children build confidence as they grow!

Looking for volunteering opportunities as part of DofE this year? 💛

Houlton’s local community groups are often looking for extra support and volunteers.

It’s a great way to get involved in the community, build confidence and support local groups that give so much to people across Houlton and beyond!

By day, Dollman Farm is full of people catching up over coffee, sitting outside in the sunshine and grabbing a bite at The Tuning Fork or The Houlton Paddle 🍽️

By evening, the festoon lights come on, the evening menus begin and the atmosphere shifts.

No matter the time of day, Dollman Farm is a great place to come together with friends, neighbours and family.

One of Houlton’s biggest community events is back! 💛

The Houlton Family Fun Day returns on Saturday 27th June for a day packed with live music, food, entertainment and plenty for the whole family to enjoy.

As always, it’s all about bringing the community together while supporting important local causes. This year, funds raised will support Back and Forth - Men’s Mental Health 💙
