Reading Lead Open 2026 – Saturday, 31st October 2026

The countdown is on! This October, we’re bringing something special to Reading with the launch of the Reading Lead Open 2026 – a brand-new lead climbing competition!

Whether you’re taking on your first climbing competition or chasing a place in the finals, the Reading Lead Open promises an unforgettable day packed with great routes, an incredible atmosphere, and an exciting live finals showcase on our unique competition wall.

Our experienced setting team is creating around 14 exclusive competition routes from 6a that showcase everything our centre has to offer.

With a special café menu, BBQ and drinks as well as sponsors and exhibitors this will be a fun packed day on the wall and off.

Book early and save! Early bird tickets available until 30th September:
Adult/Vet £25 (£30 full price)
Under 16 £15 (£20 full price)
Members receive 50% off entry, early bird tickets included!

Abbey💜 does not only run our LGBTQ+ Social, they have also taken it upon themselves to organise Reading’s first Pride Climbing Competition! 🙌

With 🏳️‍🌈 Reading Pride 🏳️‍⚧️ just around the corner, this is the perfect occasion to come together for some friendly competition to be in with a chance to win some amazing raffle prizes and spend some quality time with some great people!

☀️SUMMER AUTO LEAGUE☀️

Come down tonight to get on the routes for round 1 of the Summer Auto League!
You have until 3rd September to try the climbs and log your results on with new autobelay routes added every Friday.

Log your scores and be in for a chance to win! We will ruffle out 5x 1month of free climbing among all league entries. So no matter your score, everyone is in for a chance to win!
