CANCELLED due to red weather warning for extreme heat 🥵😢

Friday 26th June 🌲🌳 Thankfully temperatures will be slightly cooler by Friday morning, for our lovely woodland walk. With huge fragrant ferns, wild raspberries🍓 peaceful pine forests, deer 🦌, purple and pink foxgloves and gnarly wooded footpaths. Bones Wood is absolutely stunning, a real gem tucked behind The Bottle & Glass Inn 🍻 Binfield Heath. The route is 6km, approx 1hr 15/20 mins with 4 medium hills, nothing too strenuous! Join us for 9.30am and stay for coffee / cool drinks and delicious cakes in the cool of the barn at the end if you can. Just drop us a message here to book your place 😊

Shaded woods, magnificent trees 🌳🌲

What a stunning morning in beautiful Hambleden & Henley-on-Thames. Featuring the chalk stream Hambleden Brook, miles and miles of lush green rolling hills, the impressive Hambleden Lock & Weir, our mighty river Thames and the Thames Path National Trail, and SO many awesome rowers 🚣🏼‍♂️🛶all getting ready for the Women's Regatta tomorrow. 💪🏼 We paused for drinks on the hay bales at Thameside Social, and felt a bit special sitting along the banks of the river with our coffees and Hawkstone ciders/beers, wishing we could stay there all day 😊 If you haven't been down there yet, you should, it's fantastic!!
It was so lovely to bump into Phillipa and the relay 14 leg walkers on their walk from Henley to Marlow too! Our river Thames is the place to be 🏞️💙

We have had an incredible day today, walking leg 13 of the Thames Path National Trail 30th anniversary relay. We clocked up 18.8km, approx 30,000 steps along this epic towpath, through locks, fields, tranquil woods along our wonderful river Thames. What a very special thing to be a part of.

Starting at 9.30, ending approx 12.30, including time for coffee/refreshments at Thameside Social. We think that actually doing THREE big walks back to back is probably a bit ambitious!! SO, we've rescheduled our Crazies Hill walk (originally this Friday) to September. It will be something new and gorgeous to look forward to for after the summer break. Here is our updated schedule - join us on Thursday 18th for a scenic river romp, from Hambleden lock, along the towpath and towards Henley, via the Orwells Restaurant and Pavilion Foods Thameside Social.

Thursday SPECIAL 🥳 18th June, 9.30am - 10km from Hambleden to Henley, Thameside Social pop-up with Orwells Restaurant and Pavilion Foods.

Thankfully the weather is looking up for next week's mega busy walking agenda! 🌞Join us for this delightful route over Hambleden lock & weir and along the Thames Path past the iconic Temple Island and towards Henley-on-Thames. There will be a lot to see along the river with the start of the Regatta imminent. Rowers sweeping up and down the Thames, marquees going up along the grassy banks and the birds and bees and other wildlife just going along with all the activity as per. We are going to pause for refreshments at the Pavilion Foods & Orwells Thameside Social pop-up before returning to Hambleden and admiring the views from the other way, drinking in the atmosphere and the scenery as we go. Refreshments are optional, but highly recommended 😋

Starting 9.15 from Caversham Bridge, duration approx 6.5 hours
Part of the Thames Path National Trail 30th anniversary relay walk from the source to the sea. We will be walking Relay Leg 13, the Caversham to Henley section which includes the diversion at Shiplake via beautiful Harpsden Woods. We are excited to be leading this walk in partnership with Pipsticks Walks - Walk, Nordic Walk, Navigate. Hartslock Nature Reserve 💚
What a thoroughly fantastic morning we had yesterday in Goring, discovering so many wild flowers, including the beautiful Pyramidal, Common Spotted, and Lady-Monkey Orchids. It was such a great route - 8km of fields & farmlands with poppies, beech woods, insane views (thanks to 3 good hills), cows, bumblebees galore, a stag beetle, a mole, herons and our glorious river Thames. Huge thanks to our Walk Works Ecologist friend Helen, for sharing her vast knowledge of wildflowers and birdsong with us🐦‍⬛🥀
