Our next Friday walk is on Friday 11th September, at the slightly later time of 10.30.am. Starting and finishing at The Horns pub for lunch or just refreshments afterwards.
The route is a real cracker, with beautiful tree lined footpaths, gnarly roots, sweeping fields and views over the Hennerton Golf course.

"My NEW FAVOURITE Walk Works walk" Pete

Thank you Danesfield House Hotel and Spa for inviting us to lead a walk from your beautiful grounds this morning. What a stunning area Medmenham is, and with so much to see. This was a walk that had a bit of everything... woods, the river, white cliffs, ancient settlements, awesome properties to nose at, sheep, a haunted tunnel and fascinating history. Thank you to Danesfield House for your very warm welcome, delicious refreshments and interesting talk from Dave the Head Gardener. We even had the chance to wander around the grounds exploring the gardens, ponds and waterfalls overlooking the river. If you haven't been before, we highly recommend 🏰😊

Still places left for Friday's gorgeous circular route in Medmenham, Bucks between Henley and Marlow. 7km with two good hills in our fantastic Chilterns National Landscape. Did we mention the secret tunnel??! Exciting...😲😊

We can all enjoy refreshments at Danesfield House Hotel and Spa when we return. £17.50pp includes teas/coffees and biscuits, or £12 without refreshments. Starting 9.30am and finishing approx 11.15am. Approx 1 hr 45 walking time.

Last night's Walk Works Henley Vineyards Sunset Trail was so special and we had an absolute blast. Tamsin of Wine Curious taught us all about the English wine scene while we sampled delicious wines at Oaken Grove Vineyard with sumptuous cheese and paired snacks before a tour of the beautiful vineyard, then a stunning walk all the way to Fairmile Vineyard for more of the good stuff. Conditions were just perfect and the sunset was glorious. That sky 🌄🤩

Friday 21st August we have a NEW walk for you from Danesfield House. A beautiful 7km route in the Chiltern Hills, Buckinghamshire. Starting and finishing from this stunning former country house, situated in Medmenham between Marlow and Henley-on-Thames. Featuring cooling woods, the River Thames, quaint cottages, and Iron-Age hillfort and a very cool secret underground tunnel! We can all enjoy refreshments at Danesfield when we return.
£17.50pp includes teas/coffees and biscuits starting 9.30am and finishing approx 11.15am. Approx 1 hr 45 walking time.

"What a fantastic day out"! Alexandra from Oxford

We absolutely loved this morning's trio of events - our Hidden Henley circular walk showed us beautiful houses, churches and Henley architecture, secret alleyways and footpaths away from the busy centre of town THEN a 2 hour Hobbs of Henley Ltd boat trip through Marsh Lock and towards Shiplake and back up past the Regatta course, Phyllis Court and the rowing clubs towards Temple Island. Topped off perfectly with afternoon tea style lunch from Time for Tea Vintage. 🍰🫖 Just wonderful 😊
