β¨ THROWBACK TO 19 YEAR OLD MISS LUCY β¨
This photo was taken when I was 19 years old, preparing for ballet company auditions π©°
Looking back now, dance was never just about technique, exams or performances for me. It became so much more than that. Dance became my safe place, my second home and somewhere I felt completely free to express myself. Through every challenge, every rehearsal, every audition and every achievement, it quietly shaped the person I was becoming π
Dance gave me confidence during moments of self-doubt. It taught me discipline, resilience and how to keep going even when things felt difficult. But beyond all of that, it gave me some of the most special memories, friendships and experiences of my life β moments that will stay with me forever β¨
I think thatβs why LCM Dance Academy means so much to me. I never wanted to create βjustβ a dance school. I wanted to create an environment where every child feels seen, valued, encouraged and safe enough to truly grow into themselves π
Of course, beautiful technique, discipline and strong training are incredibly important to me, and Iβm passionate about helping students achieve their goals and become strong dancers. But alongside that, I also want every child to experience that same magic I felt as a little girl β the excitement, the joy, the sense of belonging and the feeling that dance could become a part of who they are π€
As a teacher, there is nothing more rewarding than watching a child slowly grow in confidence, begin to believe in themselves and discover what they are capable of.
Because sometimes dance is not only about creating dancersβ¦ sometimes it helps shape confident, kind and resilient young people too β¨π
