Treading water

Todays Storm Eunice evoked a wonderful memory for me.
In 2016 I took on my first marathon swim (14K to be precise) from Henley to Marlow along the River Thames.
We swam in the wake of Hurricane Katrina & It was horrific.
Golf ball size hailstones pelted us as we swam. We could hear the thunder above and 5K in we were told if there one more clap of thunder they were pulling the race 😫
Thankfully the lightening risk subsided and we were able to finish our swim.
It was scary and exhilarating at the same time and marked the beginning of my open water marathon journey.
Stay safe and take care out there today oh and DON’T GO SWIMMING 🏊‍♀️

🏋️‍♀️Girls wot lift 🏋️‍♀️
It was pouring down ☔️ so I got my run done on the treadmill this morning followed by another strength session in the warmth and dry of the gym 👌🏼Bonus bumping into which is always a joy as she makes me laugh so much 😝

As an ASA Level 2 instructor I offer one to one or small group lessons to beginners & improvers. I am an experienced swimmer myself both in the pool and open-water. I also have 6yrs experience as a triathlete up to and including Iron distance.
