LAST ORDERS
For over 75 Years, The Club has been a place where friendships were made, memories were shared, and those “quiet drinks” somehow ended at 1 a.m.
The Club isn’t just bricks and mortar, (and maybe a bit of asbestos.) It’s our memories;
- It’s laughter on a Friday after a dodgy Karaoke performance,
- It’s the sound of cheering after a match win.
- It’s committee meetings that definitely should’ve finished a lot sooner!
- The band nights, birthday parties, and countless other evenings spent with great company.
- It's been a home, a tradition and a safe place to so many.
From all the locals who have been supporting us since it was the Hospitals staff’s social club, to our returning campers who have said they consider us their local... Underneath all the laughter and the slightly sticky carpets, this place has always been about community. It’s about the people — the ones behind the bar, behind the scenes, and of course, the ones propping up the bar too.
So tonight we will be calling last orders for the final time in this building. Come along and raise a drink;
To the laughter, the friendships, the hangovers, and the memories we’ve shared here. To everyone who’s been part of this place over the years — THANK YOU. You’ve made Whittingham Club what it is and here is to our next adventure!
