This week, we recognise Neurodiversity Celebration Week; a global initiative that challenges stereotypes, increases understanding, and highlights the strengths and contributions of neurodivergent people. The week offers an important opportunity for us to deepen our awareness, learn from lived experiences, and ensure our community remains a place where all minds are welcomed and supported.

Today is the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia (IDAHOBIT).
This year's theme of “The Power of Communities” reflects the diversity and richness within LGBTQIA+ communities, from the grass roots to the global, celebrating our varied and intersecting backgrounds, identities, and experiences. This highlights the strength and resilience that emerges from our collective solidarity, recognising the contributions of human rights defenders, LGBTQIA+ civil society groups, allies, and millions of people in our communities who support human rights and collective liberation.

During Mental Health Awareness Week we celebrate the power and importance of community.
Being part of a safe, positive community is vital for our mental health and wellbeing. We thrive when we have strong connections with other people and supportive communities that remind us, we are not alone. Communities, such as the fencing community, can provide a sense of belonging, safety, support in hard times, and give us a sense purpose.
