What a Summer It's Been! ☀️

A huge thank you to everyone who joined our Summer Programme this year. It has been fantastic to see children and young people making friends, trying new activities, building confidence and creating lasting memories.

A special thank you to our amazing staff, volunteers, and to for their support. As part of the national 2026 initiative, our Summer of Play programme has helped young people across Aberdeenshire get active, have fun and try something new.

🎉 What a great week of Summer Camps at Peterhead! 🎉

It has been fantastic to see so many children enjoying themselves, making new friends, trying new activities and, most importantly, having fun!

We've received lots of positive feedback throughout the week, and we'd love to highlight a few comments from parents and guardians:

One of the most rewarding parts of the week has been seeing so many new friendships blossom. These connections, alongside the confidence, skills and experiences gained, are what make our Summer Camps so special.

📣There are still some spaces left in our Pool Play Session at 12pm today!📣

Book your space through the LLA app or reception, we do have a lot of walk-ins, so we do recommend booking before the session.

~The last few remaining Pool Play Sessions of midweek are tomorrow at 12pm and 7.30pm. There is a timetable change from next Monday 17th. New timetables to October can be picked up at reception at the Pool.

💦LAST WEEK OF OUR SUMMER INTENSIVE LESSONS!!!💦

There are still some spaces left in our Level 1, 2, and 3 at 10.30, 11.00 and 11.30 and level 4 at 11.30.

❓The lessons are great for improving stroke development in half hourly sessions. If this sounds of value to your child, enquire or book today on our LLA app or at reception. Prices are same as regular lessons for one lesson standard £7.10.

🌞 Summer Camps continue, and this week we were in Alford! 🌞

It's been fantastic to see so many children enjoying themselves, making new friends, trying new activities and, most importantly, having fun!

From tubing and coding sessions to bug hunting in the woods with the Rangers, our young participants embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm. Even the rain couldn't dampen spirits as children explored the outdoors and discovered all sorts of bugs hidden amongst the undergrowth, logs and stones.

One of the most rewarding pieces of feedback we received this week came from a parent who shared how the camp helped build their children's confidence to try new sports. Football had previously felt daunting, but with encouragement and support from our team, they developed new skills, joined in and loved every minute of it. Their youngest child even gained the confidence to take part in a football game outside of camp, something they had previously avoided. ⚽💙

It wasn't just the children stepping outside their comfort zones. Our staff embraced new experiences too! One team member tried tubing for the very first time, encouraged by children who were equally nervous. It was wonderful to see participants and staff supporting each other and creating positive memories together.

We also loved seeing so many new friendships form throughout the week. These connections, alongside the confidence, skills and experiences gained, are what make our Summer Camps so special.
