Debbie rocking the new club shirt yesterday at a rather soggy Cleadon Archers WA900 where she scored 756 to take first in the Ladies Recurve 50+. Well done and good luck for today, hope you've got some kinder weather for the Double 720.

Gold and Silver for team Lethen today at the Forest Spirit Archers WA Metric shoot. Another fantastic shoot at Forest Spirit, not quite the same turnout as last year's, hopefully that won't deter them from doing it again next year. Huge thanks to everyone involved in organising and running the competition.

Archers v Judges?
Never, just Team Lethen representing different sides of our sport at the Aberdeen University Archery Club WA Combined in Aberdeen today. With Kirsty and John keeping a watchful eye on proceedings Sam, Carin and Debbie managed to earn some bling😁🏹

Well done to everyone who took part in our inaugural Lethen (or Portlethen, we haven't quite decided on the name yet) round. The round is an indoor round based on a York and consists of 60 arrows at a 40cm face, 30 at 25yds, 21 at 20yds and 9 at 15 yds, and uses imperial 5 zone scoring. No idea what a good score is but everyone got a PB πŸ˜€, not to mention a few club records. Thanks also to Kirsty for officiating for us.

SAA Northern Area Indoor Championships 2026 - Banff
Lethen Archers was well represented with nine of our archers in attendance (not to mention a couple of judges). It was also quite successful with three bronze medals, two silver and three gold. Poor Carin had quite a dramatic end to her day. After shooting barebow in the morning she switched to longbow for the afternoon. As she came to full draw for the second arrow of the first end, her longbow decided it wanted to be a take-down bow and snapped! Thankfully she, and the people who were next to her, are OK.

Well done to everyone who took part and thank you to everyone involved in organising and running the event.

(Please don't ask what photo 2 is about, I'm not sure even Steven knows 🀣)
