FRIDAY NIGHT RETRO ARCADE NIGHT IS COMING TO THE CLUBHOUSE!

Starting 10th July, we're launching a brand-new monthly event that will transport you straight back to the golden age of gaming!

Dust off those memories of crowded arcades, heated living-room rivalries and legendary button-mashing battles as we fire up the greatest 8-bit, 16-bit and 64-bit classics ever made.

Were you a master of Mario Kart? A ruthless Super Bomberman tactician? A button-bashing champion on Mortal Kombat? Every month we'll pick a different retro classic and battle it out in a knockout tournament to crown the Retro Arcade Champion.

And for our very first event, we're starting with one of the greatest fighting games of all time...

Our Under 18s squad will be blowing away the summer cobwebs with two tough warm-up fixtures against strong opposition as preparations begin for another exciting campaign.

15th August – Away to Tonmawr RFC
21st August – Away to Porthcawl RFC *Friday Night*

Pre-season is where hard work begins, combinations are built, and players earn their place. These games will provide a great test for the squad as they continue their development and prepare for the challenges ahead.

We'd love to see plenty of support for the boys as they pull on the famous red jersey and begin their journey towards the new season.

This is Ray Davies who won International honours for Wales Youth against France and Germany in 1957 and again against Germany in 1958. Sadly this is the only photograph we have of Ray and it's very poor quality.
Are there any family members out there who would hopefully have a better quality photo of Ray that we could please copy to put up with our other photographs in the club.

We've made some exciting changes to our Club App in order to allow you to access some of the great new features we've been working on!

When you open the app you'll now be greeted by a shiny new main menu thay will enable you to easily navigate through what we have to offer!

You'll still be able to buy your Lotto tickets and that works in exactly the same way, but now top of the tree is access to your profile so you can quickly amend any of your details and view your account.

We've added easy navigation for you to Buy or View your season ticket so you can follow The Reds into the new season with ease.

Lastly we've got our new Match and Player records section. Starting with our first Warm Up fixture against Nantgaredig you'll be able to view all the details of Cwmafan's 1st XV Fixtures including, result, try count and even any yellow or red cards!

Our Player Records is where our club archivist has been hard at work sifting through files and bits of paper collecting past and present players 1st XV career histories, at present as far back as the 1972 season! From August current players will be able to see all the details of their exploits in the hallowed Red Jersey

For our legacy players this only amounts to number of appearances and unfortunately some records have been lost to time so there may be a few discrepancies. But as more records are found we'll easily be able to update them.

THE FIXTURES ARE IN!

The wait is over. The 2026/27 Admiral National League Division 2 West Central fixtures have been released, and Cwmafan RFC are ready for another huge season.

After last season’s success, the challenge starts all over again. New battles, old rivalries, long away trips, packed clubhouse afternoons, and 80 minutes every Saturday to prove ourselves all over again.

From the opening fixture against South Gower on 12th September right through to the final league game at home to Porthcawl in March, every point will matter and every voice on the touchline will make a difference.

Whether you've been supporting the Reds for decades or you're joining us for the first time, this season promises plenty of excitement, drama and unforgettable moments.
