Are you looking forward to Friarwood Festival this year? We are lucky to have such great events organised by volunteers in our community.

Some of our runners will be swapping their running shoes for normal clothing and enjoying the great festival atmosphere.

This morning we have delivered a number of bags of food and groceries donated to Pontefract Community Kitchen from members of Carleton Running Community.

Pontefract Community Kitchen are run by volunteers and provide help and support to those in need in the Pontefract area.

At CRC, we believe that we are not just a run club, we are a running community who have a responsibility to help our local community as well as run in it.

Pontefract Community Kitchen need help all year round, and they’d be very grateful of any donations if you can help in any way possible.

We are a friendly community of runners that like to run together and have a chat on the way round.

Whether that’s a social run/walk, a steady run, or a quicker run pushing limits together.

Whether it’s coached sessions getting runners to think and analyse their running to get the best out of their potential.

Together we are Carleton Running Community and we would love to see you come along and try a run with us.

We run from Carleton Pontefract on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6.50pm. Why come along and come for a run. Some of us stop for a nice refreshing drink afterwards at The Carleton too.

As the Summer evenings are here, it's good to get out and about getting some exercise then having a nice refreshing drink together afterwards.

At Carleton Running Community we are more than a group of runners, we run with each other, we run to enjoy time with each other, and we run and have fun together.

We run on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6.50pm to around 8pm. We meet in the b**r garden area at The Carleton pub. On Tuesdays you have the option of a 5km or a 5mile run - all paces suitable, even run/walks. On Thursdays we have a coached session and a group out and back run.

If you're looking to get some run time in whilst these nice sunny evenings are with us, come along to Carleton Pontefract and don't just have some run time but have some fun time too.
