Featherstone Rovers U7s put in a determined and spirited performance at home against Chapeltown Lime, showing fantastic resilience and teamwork from start to finish.
From the first whistle, the boys worked tirelessly across the pitch, supporting one another in both attack and defence. A special mention goes to Edward and Jaxon for their great effort in the net, both stepping up when called upon and showing bravery and focus under pressure.
The team’s attitude never dropped, with every player continuing to battle, chase, and support each other throughout. Their determination and refusal to give in was clear for all to see, reflecting a brilliant team spirit.

✨️Austin earned the Magic Moment award for his incredible energy, constantly running up and down the pitch and taking some big, confident shots that lifted the team.
🏆Man of the Match went to Deven, who showed outstanding perseverance. He covered every inch of the pitch and never stopped pushing, demonstrating real character and commitment despite the game being a tough challenge.
🏆A mention also goes to Opposition Man of the Match, Tito, who delivered a brilliant all-round performance with great effort and skill.
Overall, it was a game full of hard work, determination, and positive attitude, with the FRFC u7 boys showing they never give in and always support each other as a team.

⚽️FRFC u7s vs Colton Juniors
📆 12th April, away fixture

FRFC u7s final away game of the league season proved to be a thrilling and hard-fought contest against Colton Juniors, with both sides going end-to-end in an exciting battle. The game remained evenly poised for long periods, with momentum swinging back and forth, but Fev eventually raised their level to secure a deserved result.

Captain Ed started the match in goal and led by example, pulling off several important saves to keep Fev in the game during key moments. In the second half, he moved into defence, where his leadership continued to shine through with a number of crucial interceptions.

Jaxon was a rock at the back for most of the match, making decisive tackles and consistently breaking up opposition attacks to relieve pressure on the team.

Austin began on the wing and put in a tireless performance, getting up and down the pitch and fully committing in every challenge. He took over goalkeeping duties in the second half and made multiple impressive saves to deny the opposition.

Tito put in a battling performance out wide, combining strong defensive work with attacking impact. His efforts were rewarded with two excellent goals — one a well-struck finish, and the other a clever flick from a corner that left the keeper with no chance.

Alex was energetic throughout, driving forward on counter-attacks, creating opportunities, and getting Fev off to the perfect start by scoring the opening goal.

Isaac showed great versatility, starting in defence for the first time and adapting well to the role. His performance highlighted his willingness to learn and contribute wherever needed.

Stan delivered a standout display, covering every blade of grass with quality passing and dangerous shooting. He scored four superb goals, with the highlight being a brilliant solo run from deep, beating three defenders before calmly finishing past the keeper.

Oliver worked hard up front, making intelligent runs and creating chances. He was rewarded with two goals, including a fantastic strike from outside the box that flew into the roof of the net.

The coaches were very pleased with the overall performance, especially with the team’s ability to step up and secure the result as the game progressed — a positive sign with the final fast approaching.

Outstanding performance today from the team! The progression this season has exceeded all expectations especially after Christmas. Plenty more to come from the squad as they continue to learn and develop. Brilliant performance to cap off the season. Onto next season. Well done team!
