Today, our rugby family lost one of its brightest lights, and the pain runs deep. There’s something truly special about the bonds we build in this game, the way players and parents come together, supporting one another through every match, every season, and every challenge. When you lose one of your own, it leaves a hole that words can barely touch.
Vicky was the heart of so many of our days. Always there on the sidelines with her unwavering love and support for Abbie, she became a central part of our team in every sense. Whether it was helping out in any way she could, offering a kind word, or simply being a steady, warm presence, she gave everything, even through her own courageous fight. Her strength, her spirit, and her love for her family never wavered.
Our hearts ache for Abbie and Richie. Please know that you are not alone in this. The Upton Girls family will always be here for you, to lean on, to cry with, or to sit in silence with whenever you need us.
Vicky, you will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. Your love and your light will continue to live on in every game we play and every memory we share.

Kick-off is at 11am at Quarry Lane.

Upton ARLFC U16 Girls are back for 2026.
A brand new squad, lots of new faces, but the same brilliant attitude.
The girls pushed a very strong Siddal side all the way in our first game of the season and showed exactly what this team is about. Effort. Commitment. And backing each other all the way.
This is only the start. As confidence grows and the nerves settle, this team is going to get better and better.
If you’re in Year 10 or Year 11 and fancy being part of a brilliant team environment, we still have a few places available.

🏉 First League Match of the 2026 Season
This Saturday the wait is finally over. The Upton Girls kick off their 2026 league campaign at home and it promises to be a brilliant morning of rugby league.
The girls have been working hard through pre-season and are ready to get the new season underway against a strong Siddal side. Expect big carries, fast rugby and plenty of passion as both teams look to start the season with a win.
