Another pleasing performance at a very tough place to go by the boys for a bonus point Win 👏🏉👍💪

Once again the forwards providing the platform, some terrific cohesion between backs and forwards and the belief that every game is winnable is coming to fore as the players are buying into the rugby style needed.

Tries from Will Brooksbank, George Fletcher, the Smale brothers and extras and penalties were enough for another victory in the league. Exceptional work rate and D from all the squad and stand out games from Dom Derrick and Carpet added to a thoroughly pleasing performance at a difficult place to get anything from.

Davy was delighted at the performance and especially the off the ball defence and work rate. The belief to win and play our way was evident and the boys were terrific under pressure.

Well done to all the lads and harder challenges to come but we know we’re going in the right direction week on week.
Up the Os 👏🏉👍💪

Here is your team for the only game this weekend on Saturday.

Our Ones make the long trip to Bideford RFC knowing this is always a big task but in great spirits following 3 excellent victories out of 4 as the team improves and continues to develop the new gameplay and rugby mindset.

This week sees a return for Chris Wilson at ho**er and James Mitchell & Mark Hardie to the back row following recent injuries to add experience and power to the pack. There is also a positional change for Will Varley as he moves to 12 and Dom Derrick comes in on the wing.

With a big and experienced subs bench, the boys will be looking to ascertain forward dominance and keep the backline firing as it has been in the last few weeks.

Please note that kick off time is 14:30 for tomorrow.

We welcome all travelling support from the OPM faithful and look forward to returning with a hard fought W to add to the league tally.
Good luck lads and Up the Os 💪🏉👏👍

Congratulations to Henry Pascoe and Alex Trueman who have been successful following their recent Devon U18 Trials and have now progressed to the next stage of the process.

Well done to both lads who showed their skills on the day and the hard work has paid off.

Well done also to Marley Croft, Harry Stewart and Hayden Jacka who attended and pushed everyone all the way at the trials to showcase the skills at OPM Rugby Club and make the club proud.

These lads make up this exceptional group of Colts who are developing and improving both individually and as a squad thanks for their hard work and that of their coaches and support team.

So much to proud of and looking forward to the future. Up the Os 💪🏉👍👏

This weekend it’s just the one game with the long trip for the ones to face Bideford RFC.

From their recent results they’ve been out of sorts but everyone knows that with the long trip and support they have at home, this is always a difficult place to go and get the win.

However after 3 wins from the last 4 games for the lads and there being every improved availability with returning injuries and new players week on week, we’re expecting to take a strong side up to play.

Any travelling support from the OPM faithful would be most welcome to cheers the boys on and look to further move up the league table.

Good luck to the lads 👏💪👍🏉

Congratulations to our awesome U18 Colts who attended the Devon trials yesterday to represent OPM Rugby Club.

Pictured are OPM players attending from left to right of Marley Croft, Harry Stewart, Hayden Jacka, Henry Pascoe, Alex Trueman and accompanied by Colts coaches, Luke Millard and Chris Pascoe at either end.

With approximately 100 lads involved from across the region, this was an opportunity for the boys to showcase their skills and be involved in a higher standard of rugby.

The session started with skills and ended with 5 teams playing matches against each other. Those selected will be involved this Sunday with information on who made it being confirmed through to the final trial day over the next couple of days.

Whatever the outcome it was a positive experience for all of our lads and they represented the club with great respect, ambition and energy.

Well done to you all and a superb effort both for you individually and the Colts section as a whole. Up the Os 🏉👏👍💪

An efficient performance was the term used by Head Coach, Davy McGregor with our only game of the weekend and an excellent victory over Crediton RFC II.

With the horrendous weather conditions, the game was a very close affair in the first half with only a 5-0 turnaround from a Fred Smale finish. However the stubborn defence of Crediton started to fail in the second half with tries from Matt Smale, Will Mills and Will Brooksbank followed by 2 more from Fred Smale.

Surprisingly with a game of this nature and such poor conditions; it was very unusual for all tries to be scored by the backline but the forwards worked supremely hard to get the ball to a seriously firing backs division on Saturday.

A fantastic result and brilliant support in the weather from our hardy fans with no other OPM games available this weekend.

Next up the long trip to Bideford but in high spirits as we look to press on in the league.
Up the Os 💪🏉👏👍
