Tommy Robson Statue are, as ever, grateful to our friends in the PST

The PST has this month donated £5,000 to the Tommy Robson Statue Fund.

As the majority of Posh fans are aware the statue fund was set up after Tommy's untimely death in 2020 to honour the great man with a statue at London Road for his services to the football club.

Tommy played for the Posh from 1968 to 1981 (13 seasons), was the first inductee to the Posh Hall of Fame and served the club for another 30 years in various roles including Youth team manager, matchday host and tour guide.

The Tommy Robson Statue Fund has now reached over £100,000 and sculptor Sean Hedges-Quinn (the guy who produced Chris Turner's statue) has been commissioned to produce 'Sir' Tommy Robson's statue.

The PST had a special connection with Tommy as he was our patron from 2011 until his unfortunate death on 8th October 2020 and we are proud to be associated with this initiative. We financed the book 'Tommy Robson On The Wing' book which would be a great gift for any Posh fan.

In total the PST has donated £10,000 to the fund.

Tommy with Jack Carmichael when they ran the Posh Legends side.

They played a series of friendlies each summer to raise funds for various local charities.

📣 The statute committee continue to meet and various new events are planned for 2026.

⚽️ More details of these will be revealed shortly as we get closer and closer to our target

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Darrenn Ferguson for his service to our football club.
It is sad to see how things have turned out but his legacy is undeniable and will be everlasting.
We wish him and his family all the very best going forward and he’ll always be welcomed back to LR.
Darren has always, over the years been a great supporter of PISA and in the future we’ll be delighted to welcome him to one of our events.
