We’d like to share the next in the series of stories from people who did the 10k on Sunday 😀

You’ll have seen the post earlier about Georgina, who ran the race virtually while she recovers from a broken wrist.

This is the story of Jennifer, who only started running in February and felt inspired to sign up to do the 10k.

If you’d like to share your story that could help inspire others to get into running and join us next year, let us know 😀

Delighted to have presented Georgina Chan with her medal after running a virtual Perth 10k today 😀🏅

Georgina signed up for the race earlier in the year and unfortunately, fell and broke her wrist in July and wasn’t able to run on Sunday.

Missing out wasn’t an option for her. You see, this was the 28th year she’s done the Perth 10k, asked if she could do it virtually and I had no hesitation but to say yes!

She ran the 10k this morning, sent me a screenshot of her run to prove that she did it so I popped round a wee while ago to present her with her medal.

We all wish her a speedy recovery and look forward to her returning to the race in person next year 😀👏👏

How’s everyone been feeling this week after the race?

Have your legs returned to feeling normal again?

We’re looking for some people to come, be filmed and tell us their story about the race and their journey from signing up to taking part.

You could be someone who took part in their first 10k, you could be someone who’s done this race every year for a long time, you could be someone who’s done the race a few times, travelled a reasonable distance to come.

We’d love to hear your story, film it so we can hopefully inspire people just like you to come and take part😊

If you’re up for it, comment below or drop us a message and we’ll be in touch 👍

In addition to thanking you all, it’s important to thank a whole number of others who help us make the event the success it is, from:

Terry - my partner in this event who organises the route, coordinates the marshals and works with the timing guys to make sure everything’s in place.

Keep it Simple Timing - who provide the timing for us.
RAF Cadets and Police Scotland Youth Volunteers, who marshaled the course yesterday.
Perth Alzheimer’s Scotland centre - who managed the water station at halfway.
My Keepsake Cards who made the medals
Ian, who made the slates as prizes.
First Aid Perthshire - who were there to look after you all.
David McNulty’s Running Photography - for capturing all your smiling faces 😊
Jonathan - the lead cyclist
Kenneth - the Tail Walker
The Black Watch Castle & Museum - for providing us the space for our registration

and to the wonderful members of Steve Bonthrone Running Coach Run Better group and Perth parkrun who did a brilliant job at registration 😀

Amazing people, everyone, and we’re delighted to have them all on board, working with us and supporting us for this amazing day 😊

Good morning from the start line 😀

The rain has stopped, for now, but it’s actually brightening up so we might be fine for the race!

I’ll do a little sun dance to make sure 💃🕺

*It’s going to be humid today so make sure you get plenty fluids in you before you come down *

I don’t know about you but we’re excited about tomorrow’s race 😀

Not sure how much sleep I’ll get, I keep wondering if I’ve got everything and I’m fairly certain I do!

I suspect I’ll be counting sheep wearing race numbers 🐑 😂
